Yoshi Sushi & Bento (Lambton) - Wellington Central
Yoshi | Sushi & Bento
Yoshi Sushi & Bento was born in August 2010 by Japanese and Kiwi husband and wife duo, Yoshi and Helen Kono. Helen & Yoshi met in Japan and when they moved to NZ they brought with them the dream of opening their own shop, bringing Japanese flavours to New Zealand. With Yoshi’s passion for cooking and Helen’s passion towards customer service, Yoshi Sushi & Bento was born. They also wanted to add a few personal meanings to their shops and so working with designers they have incorporated their Japanese family crest into the shop’s design and the first shop was opened 7 years to the day that Helen & Yoshi first met.

β β β β β This place is great. Pretty decent variety of options including vegan and vegetarian. Limited seating inside. They do loyalty cards and the staff are always super friendly and helpful. It can get quite busy but the queue moves along

β β β β β The sushi is a very simple sushi like sushi of the day very disappointing. If you want good sushi go to sushi B. The price is not worth it!

This one is among top 3 in my list of Sushi restaurants in Wellington. Conveniently located over busy Lambton Quay and can be easily missed if not carefully looked out for.
Easily accessible.
Well managed, organised and nicely maintained.
Sushi is on display for the customers to pick around from the standing area with detailed info provided for people with specific dietary requirements.
Spacious but limited seating.
Excellent ambiance and cosy atmosphere.
Self-service. Helpful staff.
Plentiful food options. Have not noticed these many delicious Sushi options to choose from for vegans and vegetarians at any other Sushi restaurant.
Yum preparations. Good presentation. Offers takeaways.
Good place for quick bite.
Normally busy during peak hours. Reservation cannot be made in advance.
PayWave facility is available at this location.
Could not notice wheelchair accessible seating or high chair in plain view at this location.
Outdoor seating is not available.
There is no dedicated parking area available for this restaurant although street parking can be found around the entrance.
Entrance is wheelchair accessible.
Liked the experience.

β β β β β The most authentic Ramen you will ever taste outside of Japan, fresh and delicious sushi and other options available. I only go here whenever I feel like some real Japanese food. Highly recommended.

β β β β β The udon was a bit too healthy for my taste but my mum enjoyed it very much! I felt like the sushi was a bit overpriced but I tasted all of them- it was definitely worth it! Looks nice too :)
