Been twice to trade shop at back - both times unhelpful & disinterested. I guess they are more concerned with tradies than general public.

Dear ZIP Plumbing Tawa. Your company are now on my "never use the services of this company" list after todays performance by one of your staff members. I was riding through some roadworks at the posted 30kph speed limit leading onto the Wainuiomata Hill on the way home after work today (about 4.50pm). I saw in my rear vision mirror, that the driver of the ZIP Plumbing Hutt Valley van (MITSUBISHI L300 2001, reg ACE205) had driven right up behind me and camped on my tailpipe. I mean he was literally just inches away from my motorcycle, nearly knocking me off. I indicated for him to back off with a wave of my hand, and next thing I knew, he was screaming up the inside of my lane, forcing me to the center of the road facing oncoming traffic, and just about did damn near knock me off my bike. All this just to either get in front of me, or in response to my suggestion he back off and give me some space. I am thinking the latter. Of course, he then proceeded to harrass the car that was in front of me also doing the posted speed limit. So, your heavily branded ZIP Plumbing Tawa company van reg ACE205 is struggling to get up the hill after the initial steep section just out of the tunnel, and I drove past it (at the posted speed limit of 80kph) while he's gasping and wheezing to get past 40kph and I indicated to the driver that he was a simpleton, and that I didn't appreciate his driving, endangering my safety. The driver of your van seems to have taken great offense to this gesture, and I have now apparently, become a target for his pent up road-rage and he got right up in my grill again going down the other side of the hill. He must have driven like a nutbar down the hill to have caught up, considering the spluttering van going up the other side. At one stage he drove up beside me, gesturing violently with his fist. It was plainly obvious to me that he is threatening me with personal physical harm. I managed to get in front of him before he could force me into the concrete barrier, and I then put some cars between your companies van and myself, because considering he appears to be in an unstable state of mind, I didn't want to give him any more opportunities to prevent me getting home to my family in anything more than one piece. I elected not to go directly home for fear he would follow me there and follow through on his threatening gestures. I eventually gave your employee van driver the slip after circling a round-about. I am of the opinion that driving a company car with the name plastered all over it would somehow make you more aware of the consequences of any actions you take while in charge of the vehicle. Especially when those actions make other road users fear for their personal safety. Obviously, your employee has no respect for your companies reputation, and none whatsoever for other motorists. I suggest you send your staff member to an anger management counsellor for some treatment. Here I was, a vulnerable motorcyclist, obeying the road rules and posted speed limits, minding my own business and driving to the conditions, being harrassed by your company van, driven by someone who for all apparent intent, is fixated on somehow "making me pay" for my suggesting that he was too close for my personal comfort and safety. I'll be encouraging everyone I come in contact with not to use your services, lest they get this guy in their homes threatening them. All I ask is a bit of respect for the space I occupy on the road. Your staff have absolutely no right to deliberately put my life at risk, just because they get all frustrated at the flow of the traffic. I am still considering laying a complaint with the police regarding his completely inappropriate antics and life threatening behaviour.

I have been dealing with zip plumbing for nearly 20 years , I have the massive respect for this company and the founder Stan they are so helpful I can't really understand the couple of bad reviews , I put them down to those people having there own internal issues. I have a plumbing company and recommend staying away from plumbing world and Mico they will give you the most headaches not zip.

Guys were super helpful and friendly. Even to a non-tradie. Products were at a good price too. Happy customer. Will return for any other plumbing supplies.

We went to Zip Plumbing in Tawa today after going to 3 other localbarhroom stores. The service there is amazing. We we're greeted by staff that knew their product, weren't pushy and that sorted us out without breaking the bank. We now have all our bathrooms items purchased for both bathroom renos. Thanks for the amazing service Zip Tawa.

Never ever use this company. After spending over $5k their after service was appalling. They got things wrong several times and caused delays to my renovations and simply were not interested in putting things right. More recently a broken handle on my vanity was not replaced by them and after three months of trying and lack of response it was sorted by a competitor in 3 days. Use the competitors even if its slightly more expensive.
