★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been there twice now.Thecfirst time we put it down to they were having a bad day.Second time even worse Food is not fresh and very little available.Service is veryveryslow and prices way to high.Do not recommend

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The coffee was actually pretty good. That's the 2 stars. Service was woeful. I wanted 2 soft poached eggs on toast with no butter. Apparently that was too difficult, so I had to order the 'Eggs, toast & tomato' for $14. That's fine. I also asked for 2 sides of mushrooms. I was charged $9 for 4 mushrooms. They were nice, but not worth $2.25 EACH. Eggs were like rubber bullets. I could have bounced 1 of them off the floor. In the photo, the egg on the right looks runny. The photo is deceptive. That's the bouncy egg. I'd only ever order coffee here if you're unlucky enough to find yourself at Zoo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can be difficult getting a park because of the location/popularity of the area. Lovely inside. Staff very nice. There was a group of us. Very quick at serving up out of the cabinet and heating up things. Lasagna takes quite some time though. Meal was nice it came with a salad. A basic pub meal if your into that sort of thing. Very clean. Kids will enjoy as its got stuffed animals everywhere. Do I want to go back? Yeah but not in to much of a hurry, but I would go back. Pretty basic ... so so...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The absolute worst milkshake I have had in my life. It was a FOAM shake - the whole thing was foam. It was also completely warm - we sent back the first one and they brought a new one which was pretty much the same. While we were there another customer also returned their milkshake as it was warm. Very average food. A shame there is a cafe of this poor quality on the waterfront. This could be the worst milkshake in New Zealand and the worst cafe in Dunedin.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came here with my family on New Year’s Day. Very nice food and coffee, they were really busy as they were the only shop opened on that day. My son dropped ice cream and they gave us a new one. Definitely will be back for our next holiday.

Was cold and rainy outside but inside it was warm and inviting, friendly accommodating staff.
This cafe has a variety of food to suit the older and younger customer.
Vegetarian and good gluten free (made off site in gf kitchen)options available.
Toilets on site.
View is great.
Large stuffed animals and other children's toys dotted around to delight the younger ones.
Child friendly cafe with room to maneuver a pram indoors.
It boasts a wide range of ice creams all year round.
Wide selection of hot and cold drinks with cakes and other treats to match.
Childrens drinks scaled to size.
Well priced to suit families.
We will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best eggs Benedict with salmon I have tasted. My wife had the same but with mushrooms instead. Same opinion.
Almost all tables were fill so with only the cooking and serving there was await. We are on holiday so no worries. Sitting at a window seat we could look out to sea or watch the passers by.
