Your guys were awesome. This was the 4th bike shop we had been to. Best selection and range but what clinched it was the service. Leighton was so helpful and knowledgeable and passionate about his job. Great service. Well done.

Super happy with the sales service. My new bike was assembled and ready to collect really quickly. Very friendly staff helped me with extra purchases and loading the bike into my car. Awesome bike and pricing too.

Purchased a Frey M600 electric mountain bike from 99Bikes Takapuna, dealt with Leyton. Found the customer service to be exceptional in every way. Such an easy experience. Great advice on what was appropriate for my needs. Also very pleased with the value of the Frey M600. From my view the engineering quality and set up is perfect for general NZ trail riding. May not be ideal for serious mountain biking but that is not my interest. Will reserve judgment on reliability of the Frey until I have completed some multi day trail rides, but for now I am very happy with both the bike and β€œ99 Bikes, Takapuna”.

It was my first time at any bike store, and I was greeted by a young man named Leyton. He was knowledgeable, approachable and very friendly. He knew where to guide me and asked the right questions, which helped me easily select my first mountain bike. The experience was even better when I found Easter eggs lying around the store! They were subtle, small Easter eggs until not long I began to find even more and more of them. It was one of the highlights of my day, and definitely being able to get the right size, right colour and right bike at the right time with great customer service just made it even better. Thank you for being around, wouldn't have been easier!

We bought two decent mountain bikes from here. We had the following issues. 1. Had to bring both bikes back in for a service 1 hour after use due to chattering gears/miss catching. They looked at us as though we were stupid. However, the problem was fixed after they calibrated the bikes. 2. They put a bell on one but forgot it on the other. Inconsistency. 3. Tires were not pumped up properly once we got home to ride them for the first time. 4. 4 hours of usage in, my partners identical bike had her pedal fall/break off, which they replaced for free. But still.... she’s 50kg.......I'm 105kg... 5. I added a handlebar height extension on. 1 of 4 bolts was over torqued & the Allen key stripped due to this. I'm a seasoned tradie so this was no mistake. 6. Most recently after 8-10 hours light use, my 50kg partners chain broke and is not covered by warranty. She is tiny, light, and powerless yet they refused to blame the chain. 7. I have found the crew at 99 bikes is often very young, and all members are busy with no dedicated front desk attendant so there's always people waiting. 8. Not that it matters but one bike has warning stickers, and the other has none. Common theme of inconsistency even though they were made at the same time. What's lacking is proper management, it's not the young crew’s fault. I would go elsewhere unless you want a Warehouse/Kmart level bike. Anything more expensive go to a proper shop for proper service and technical ability.

We bought our baby's first bicycle from Jared today. We cannot praise Jared, the manager, enough. The granddad originally visited this shop with the grandson last week to see if there's anything suitable. There was no solid intention to purchase. However, that interaction with Jared encouraged us to buy our little boy a bike. Jared took the time to answer granddad's questions, allowed the little one to cycle around the shop and get a feel of the bike without pushing for a hard sell. That friendly professionalism really impressed the granddad. A day or two later, we returned to buy that bicycle. 99 Bikes Takapuna needs to give Jared a raise. His customer service is impeccable.

I bought a Hikobike Ascent from 99 Bikes online with a pick from the Takapuna shop, The was not so one sourced from CHCH it took a while for the bike arrive and when it did the battey was missing, but the issue was sorted overnight and thanks to Leyton and Ben I was able to collect the bike and take home with to Whangarei. Very ,very pleased with the Bike so far. Thanks

I have a Specialized road bike and a Giant mountain bike. I purchased this Cube gravel bike to fit in between. The staff was very helpful especially when we can't go in the shop during level 3. The staff was willing to bring the bike out near the entrance for me so I can look the bike from carpark. Pickup was fast right on the next day after online purchase. The Cube bike is great, can't go wrong with German engineering. Unfortunately the mechanic didn't wrap the handlebar tapes correctly. Instead of wrap from bottom to top it got wrap from the top to the bottom. Instead of clockwise on the right, counterclockwise on the left, both side was wrapped in the same direction. As the result my thumbs are rubbing on tape edges all the time. The tape has adhesive backing so I can't just re-wrap it, I will have to buy new set of tapes to replace it. I might go for orange colour tape this time. (My Specialized road bike purchased few shops down on the same road was wrapped perfectly) Also the rear rear derailleur cable finished too long toward the derailleur cage, it's going to catch the chain at some point. The bike was checked twice before handover, unfortunately these 2 basic items didn't get pick up and let passed. I'm a bit disappointed to get these mistake from a large nation wide bike company.
