★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Taste of Waiheke Tour. Jocelyn, our tour guide, was most welcoming, informative, engaging and helpful. We learned a great deal about each vineyard - it's owners, it's history and what was unique about each...and they were very different from each other. The vineyards we visited each had a different flair. Each tour was well organized, presented and the wines were very good. Lunch was very good and in a beautiful setting. Although I didn't find the Olive Oil as flavourful as others i have enjoyed the presentation was very informative.
As Jocelyn masterfully maneuvered the coach along the winding roads we learned a great deal about the Island's history, weather, geography, life on the island and how she came to live there. She also pointed out such things as where to buy the best ice cream, where to catch the local coach back to the ferry, preparations for an upcoming festival and for us, how to get down to a beach we hoped to enjoy before returning to the city. We boarded the ferry back to Auckland with a much greater sense of the area which we fully enjoyed and really appreciated. Thanks for the wonderful day Jocelyn.
