★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered taxi to Town Basin as we were coming off the intercity bus. Gave my name, told them for 3 passengers and we would arrive in 10min. Hopped off bus and saw the taxi arrive, as we were walking to the taxi another tourist ran to our taxi, jumped in and they drove off. The driver didn't even ask for the tourist name and saw us obviously walking towards him. Rung the company and yes that was supposed to be our taxi. Left my partner and I with our toddler waiting for another 20 minutes in the dark, on a winter night. After 20 minutes of waiting we decided to call another taxi company and they were there within 5 minutes. Never again with this company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked a taxi 7/4/22 and was given a code number to ensure the right taxi was engaged. We waited for some time and then saw the taxi at 1.40 pm. He waved and indicated that we follow him to a parking space. Before we could lug our groceries to where he'd parked someone else got in and he shot off. Did he check the code? Obviously not. I had a very tired grandchild so we tried to book again. The operator was very hard to understand and had a poor grasp of English. I booked the taxi to pick us up from The Hub. The driver rang and said he was at PnS. He couldn't seem to understand that were were over the road and wanted me to come to him. I declined. Tired child and heavy groceries! He drove over and parked on yellow lines blocking traffic on the road. It was not safe. I asked him to come to a safe place but he was not happy. On the way home to our farm out of Hikurangi he was speeding, crossing the yellow lines trying to overtake, tail gating and tooted at a blue van that according to him was too slow. I asked him to stop but he was relentless. He drove through a stop sign and needed directions. I had advised the operator that we live on a dirt road and he did not cope at all. About 500 metres from our home he gave up and said we'd have to walk! Happy to take our $62 - yes he wanted cash.
