About A1 Driving School - Wellington
A1 Driving School began operation in 1982 with a commitment to providing quality Driver Education at a reasonable cost. Focusing mainly in the class 1 driver licencing area, but with links to other quality course providers for other classes of licence. A1 Driving School consists of Wayne & Christine Young as proprietors and a team of contract Driving Instructors who are approved by the N.Z Transport Agency, for this purpose. Wayne and Christine Young are members of the New Zealand Institute of Driver Educators and actively support the driver educator industry. A1 is currently servicing the Wellington and Porirua areas. A1 currently provides a wide range of Driver Education Services.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommend A1 Driving School. My son reluctantly went for a lesson with Brian after a very negative experience with another driving school. Brian was just what my son needed. My son was nervous and his confidence was very low until he met Brian. Brian was kind, patient and provided helpful tips which really helped my son pass his restricted test. We can not recommend him enough. Also, the lady Christine who takes the bookings, was incredibly helpful.

Paulo was a great instructor to drive with. He was reliable, encouraging and supportive. I appreciated his flexibility with early morning starts. I would recommend A1 Driving School to anyone looking for help to learn.

I started with Manuel but got too impatient so switched to automatic as I’m 38 I just wanted full licence as soon as. Today I got my full test and I so so happy!!! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic experience. Both Christine and Paulo were a delight to deal with - appreciated their friendly, calm and helpful instructions both in booking lessons and in taking lessons. I had very particular needs and Paulo was very accommodating - worked with me to bridge the gaps and improve my skills in a really short timeframe. Also reasonably priced. Rang A1 based on a recommendation from a friend and will definitely also recommend to friends. Thanks heaps guys - you're the best!
