★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want alterations done, then this is definitely NOT the place. I went to get 3 pairs of pants shortened. When I walked in, she was on the phone. She never got off the phone the whole time I was there. While measuring my pants for the length and at the same time on the phone, she sort of said, "I am on the phone to my friend". I did not mind it but found it absolutely rude and weird because it is not something that I would do; especially if there was a customer present. I came back for my pants the next day. I got home and tried it and it was still far too long!! My daughter even made a comment if she did shortened it. It did not look as if anything was done. I went back the next day (Wednesday) to get it re-done but there was a sign saying, Open Tomorrow. I called the mobile number on the door to say that I will be coming back for the repair but was not expecting to pay for them again. I went back again Thursday but the shop was still closed. I decided to cut my losses and go to another place (which I should have gone in the first place).
Reah's Alteration (102 High St, Lower Hutt) is a breath of fresh air. The people there are polite and professional. they might be slightly more expensive ($45 vs $30) but they do a very, very good job.

Each alterations requested was done in time and professionaly for less than what other tailors charging. Not only that she listens and responds with a smile and a friendly chat.Recommend her business anyday.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very rude. $10 pant shortening is admittedly a good deal but the sole woman owner/tailor is very terse, pays no attention to detail, messy work station, ugly interiors, no customer service skills whatever. Very unpleasant experience. Happy to pay slightly more for a better service somewhere else. Definitely not recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Despite reading the previous reviews, I thought given the good price offered here I'd give it a shot. No sign of rudeness at all. Admittedly the shop interior is not the tidiest or flashest place but I went there for alterations, not fine dining. Job done is less than 3 hours at a very god prices. Will definitely be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pramila is very very rude. She shortened my trousers to the wrong length and charged me again to fix her own mistake. She does not listen and goes straight to arguing if a customer wants to say sometging. DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Requested a patch over the knee area of my pants to cover holes and future wear. It took ages and when I got it back it was two different size patches in a different spot on each knee. Looks horrible. Should have just thrown the pants away and saved the $40 repair cost
