Been with AA for some years and in the past I had no problem with car claim and contents. Unfortunately customer service has gone downhill and I have experienced nothing but unnecessary questions and a long painful process adding to a already difficult time. I do not wish to pay my $$$ to be dealt with in this manner when we as the customer are paying you to cover us in unexpected events to our property . My 2 year old son threw his toy at the tv and broke it and what should have been a simple exchange of information and getting it replaced is now resulting in me going to the insurance ombudsmen either to get a refund on my payment to you for contents insurance or my claim for a new tv . Either way I am changing insurance companys now, I wouldnt associate or let someone treat me like this in life so why would we put up with this s*#t from someone we are paying $$ to???? Its been a rough week with many wingy kids and no tv ?

A car crashed into mine a few months back. It was a crummy old car with an unlicensed, uninsured driver, and I was confident that I was in the right. I attempted to make a claim with AA, my car insurance provider. I was told I had to pay out insurance for his car. This financial loss combined with the trauma of the incident was a very isolating experience, and the only support I could receive was from my family. The wait times on the phone were about 20-30 minutes, which is not too bad compared to internet providers, I suppose. The website is frustrating, as you have to fill out all fields every time you want to compare prices, and it doesn't save so you can't quickly change one thing. I received a call back a few hours after I attempted to make a claim, and they told me they may be able to pay out my insurance, then called back again some time later saying the opposite. I interacted with a few different calltakers and it didn't seem like information was shared well between them. The false hope they gave me was very disheartening. I still think back on my experience with AA several months later, and feel dissatisfied and frustrated. In the end, they did not provide me with any update, so as far as I am aware they just took my money and kept it. As far as positives, It is worth having insurance just in case you accidentally damage an expensive car. The call takers were OK.

Moved to AA because of an AA membership. Within 2 weeks got hit from behind from someone who fell asleep behind the wheel. At first I was not covered because it had not been 2 weeks since taking a policy then as soon as I said "leagl" I was covered. It took them 10 weeks to sort my car out and have it fixed and during that this time I never heard a word from the person dealing my claim. The customer service and communication is worse than talking to a toddler having a tantrum. No one has any answers and no one is willing to provide help or alternative solutions, unless you've paid for it or it's on your policy. Quite sad really. They just brush you off. Over the 10 weeks from start to finish I sorted EVERYTHING out not once did they help. So all in all, I someones job;Β  because I have no idea who was dealing with my claim and spoke to my different people because "my person" couldn't handle or just couldn't be bothered. Sad really. I would not recommend AA at all. I look forward to hearing about a solution to poor service, communication and customer care however we all know it will be like a tub ad - Yeah Right!!

Been literally 2 hours in hold on the phone in order to confirm a quotation for an international travel insurence . After 2 hours on the phone an operator finally answered but she really didn't know how to help me and refused to pass me to a supervisor. Really bad service

Not just about AA but about the entire insurance thing. So my car values get depreciated each year and the yearly renewal document says the value is down but the insurance amount stays almost same (or even can go up)... Why is this?? Totally unfair. Very unhappy.

Canceled my car insurance a few years ago due too massive increase in price. Looking at paperwork the other day only to find life insurance price had doubled in 5 years due to inflation. My fault for not looking Closely at it but no excuse for massive hike.

Keep away from their life insurance they are using Asteron Life Limited. I paid $127 fortnight to be covered $1million over the phone after one year later I received a letter that I’m only covered for $500,00 I truely to dispute and they confirmed it was $500,000 whatever scam they used I’ve cancelled my car insurance, health insurance and also life insurance with AA I don’t trust the anymore because they are using third parties. That it took them 3 weeks to reply to me with an answer because they were trying to contact the third party. I will try others who are more reliable.

I’ve never had any issues with AA car insurance. Today I had to cancel my insurance and it was so easy- took only 8 minutes from picking up the phone to ending the call. Travel insurance- call centre is a nightmare- on hold for AGES! Would have been a five star review if not for the travel insurance line.
