I sent David, the owner of Ablaze, an email detailing why, and he promptly replied and send me macrocarpa by way of an apology. Take note, NZ, this is what good customer service is: admit the fault, communicate, and make it better.

Ordered and paid for at Noon today, to be delivered later in the week, got a phone call from friendly staff to see if we'd like it delivered today!
It was delivered by 1.30pm - so fast!
The wood is super super dry, as promised, and a decent amount to get us through winter

β β β β β Ran into a bit of an issue with the original delivery of firewood, but after calling up to discuss it they were really good about it and rectified the situation very quickly and beyond expectations. Definitely recommend.

β β β β β Got 10 or so bagged hardwood for winter, and upon opening (the same day as getting) discovered wood was wet and some even had mold with condensation on inside of bag. Eventually burns but won't recommend without moisture probe proof of dryness. Don't have time or energy to return bags, will just go somewhere else next time.
Edit - after speaking to David, he made a full refund without fuss which was fair, so accept mist have been a bad batch that slipped through and appreciate the outcome.

β β β β β So stoked with this company! Have used them three times now, first time we went and picked wood up. Second time ordered online afterhours and it arrived the following afternoon exactly as per the directions. And today I phone in at 10 am to order and they arrived at 11am..crazy fast I'm so impressed! I wasnt expecting we would get it until after the weekend considering the late notice. The drivers are great, as is the customer service. All times the wood has been dry and ready to burn, great quality and really happy with the price. Especially worth it with the delivery. will keep ordering from these guys, well done thanks so much team!
