About ABSTRACT DESIGNS
Abstract Design is a Wellington based business with our factory in Petone and
shop on Cuba street. It all began in 1992 with Chris and Jane Baxter. We have had a shop on Cuba street for twenty five years, eighteen of those years in our current location.
Absolutely everything in our shop is made by Chris in our Wellington factory.
Not only the laser cut designs but the prints, display units and everything in between.
We are 100% made in New Zealand including the raw materials we use, which
are sourced from sustainable local suppliers.
We supply many locations around New Zealand with our cool laser cut gifts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought the hanging kete for my daughter’s birthday. Multiple pieces fell off and discovered that one piece was actually missing. Glued feathers back with wood glue, but others keep falling off. At the time of purchase I noted that it was quite expensive at $148, and was told that it had been ‘crafted by an artisan’. I still have it, having not given it as a gift due to its sub standard quality. The store I bought it from had closed when I went back. This is my second post, having previously received a response stating that I would be answered personally and straight away. I haven’t received anything and wonder if there have been concerns raised by others. Love the look but not the shoddiness. Thinking of taking up this up with Consumer NZ.

Not only was the workmanship exquisite, the customer service was incredible from ordering to freighting.
