Thanks for the great care and commitment and communication from all staff from the security guard at the front, receptionist and screening persons, nurses who screened me first and the doctor, on a day when everyone else was enjoying being with family and friends on boxing day. Very awesome cheers Sheree

The wait was long... 3 hours. However, this is no fault of the staff. It was a Sunday and a public holiday (2 Jan) so no other regular medical practices are open. Staff were friendly and thorough, and very apologetic for the long wait. Be kind to the staff... They are working during the hols while everyone else is on holiday. If you have covid symptoms you will be seen in your car. As the wait is long, take food and water, and definitely pack some toys or activities for your toddlers.

Sandy - receptionist, if i could give zero stars it would be. Receptionist didn’t allow me to ask my question, cut me off, and hung up on me. If anything you’d think you’d have great service considering you’re the FACE of the company.

I understood that the results for my test would take long but it has been 4 days and I was assured the results would take 2 or 3 to be sent to me. I have tried calling the reception and they have hung up on me everytime without hearing what I have to say. I am disgusted.

I went to 2nd Ave Medical after being urged by my pharmacist to go see a doctor asap. 1.5 hour wait after I had advised I have medical PTSD - fine. Saw doctor advised him I have had resistance to antibiotics before he ASSURED me that the meds he prescribed will do the job. 4 days later I call 2nd Ave and advise there was no changes they tell me to come in, there is pretty much no wait they want to do a swab of my infection. 2hour wait! Once again suffering with PTSD I had 3 panic attacks while waiting. New doctor says I was under prescribed and my infection is of course now worse and I now have to go to hospital…the doctor tells me I’ll have to get a drip with antibiotics at hospital but I should be able to go home tonight. I saw 4 doctors at hospital had to be isolated ect. All saying that the first Doctor grossly under prescribed and did not listen to me at all. And I had to stay in hospital over night and am now waiting on my swap results that should have been done(from what the hospital says) on the Sunday visit! I might have MRSA!!! Sundays doctor did not advise about if nothing changes or gets worse I should come back. He was adamant that I would be better by Saturday. If I had waited till Saturday who knows how much sicker I could have been! Hope to never have to go there again. For the $90 Sunday 1.5 hour wait and $50 Thursday follow up 2hour wait and in the end they did nothing but fail my medical needs. Better off waiting at hospital! 2stars for the nurses that were nice and the second DR that knew his coworker stuffed up and called the hospital for me.

Severely understaffed! The staff is very nice, but I got put in a tiny room with a sick toddler to wait for someone to see her. She eventually started crying hysterically for approx 20-30 minutes before getting tired and falling asleep in my arms. After waiting for a total of 2h15 minutes I got up and left. Few weeks prior we had to go there after-hours as wife was very sick with tummy bug, also took approx 2hrs before a doctor finally saw her and could treat her. The staff is nice though, but they need more people.

Only 4 because the receptionists ironically had worse social skills than the doctors. No but for real, the nurses and doctors are so professional and caring and cater to everyone so well. They are all genuinely interested and concerned for every patient. I was stuck there for over 5 hours (which isn't their fault obviously) and witnessed them performing to the highest degree of public health care I've ever experienced. Especially Doctor Stefan who was incredible at keeping people calm while being informative, tactfully. Just genuinely obviously a good guy and it's not often you find a doctor that is like that and treats people like human beings rather than a subject.
