★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One star rating is generous....We patiently waited for over an hour at the Airport to be picked up by their shuttle for us to collect our rental vehicle at their depot. Upon arrival at the depot (which was now well after the agreed booking time) we were told our vehicle was not ready as it's being cleaned? When our vehicle finally arrived, after another 20 minute wait, we were perplexed as to what they actually cleaned as the upholstery of the vehicle was dirty, grubby, and mouldy. We did not have the energy at that stage to complain about it as we were just wanting to get to our accommodation in Queenstown and start enjoying our short holiday. The vehicle performed perfectly fine, as expected, during our holiday but the service experienced when returning the vehicle was poor. Fortunately I decided to drop off of my family at the Airport and return the vehicle to their depot on my own as I had to wait approx 45 minutes for a shuttle to drop me back at the airport. None of the staff looked happy and that was unfortunately reflected in their interaction with customers. Sorry, but I cannot recommend using Ace Rentals Queenstown based on our experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avoid ace rental cars at all costs. They do not even deserve a 1 star rating and I have an overwhelming sense of regret not reading the numerous negative reviews on here before using this service. They are truly after your money and will make additional charges to your card after you return the car with NO warning whatsoever and they will continue to do so. They are absolutely horrific at communicating I have never experienced such bad service before in my life. We have had over $800 worth of charges. We hired a rental car here from the 8-11 of October and we are still getting charges to this very day. Having to cancel and issue a new card just to prevent any further charges. Shady, scammers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved their service and the car they gave. It was comfortable and we had no problem for 5 days we used. Quick and easy online booking and pick up and drop off just outside Airport. Really nice car for really cheap price. Highly recommended. Will rent a car from them next time too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heartless staff. I had an accident in Queenstown during horse riding and was hospitalised. But I still wanted to return their rental car in time, so I rang up and asked if I could have someone else help to drop off the car. The lady rudely interrupted me while I was explaining the situation, simply saying in an icy cold voice "Nobody is allowed to drive the rental car except you who are on the paper". She conveyed that it's none of her business and that I should call another ACE office in a different city where I first picked up the rental car. Hardly do you find such cruel customer service in Queenstown. I would give minus stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They are not onsite at the airport but will have a shuttle van to pick you up. The driver is very informative and hard case. The paperwork is quite simple and they have a good system in place. We had booked an intermediate SUV, we got a Mitsubishi Outlander. It was an older model but good space and pick up.
Customer service - The guy that checked us in was quite friendly. When dropping the vehicle off, it wasn't clear what I was meant to do. A guy grabbed the key to check over, we waited and then the suttle van pulled up. I asked the lady at the counter what we are expected to do, sign paperwork or can we go? Let's just say she lacks good manners in how she relays info to customers. It felt like I was bothering her. It didn't deter my day but she was the first person like this during my whole trip in Queenstown.
