β β β β β Very hard to get through on telephone, key worker often l8 for home visit... Wait times are long at the office... I wonder if this is all from lack of staff or is it because the staff aren't managing their time and priorities efficiently??? Please give this service a wake up call!! People depend on your services to enable them to live heathier lives. If you can help your loved ones stay out of the mental health system please do so, its honestly a constant battle

β β β β β Theyβre Extremely underfunded and have very minimal resources but this isnβt an excuse to do less than the bare minimum for a patient who is only now out of a state of crisis after so long and Iβm sure this is more than likely the experience for a large amount of patients/clients.

β β β β β Seem to be never acute enough to be seen even when my anexity is sky high for months and taking benzo daily to cope .
Took month and months of phone calls and nagging to be seen with no real outcome and the letter I was given by dr half of what he said was not actually what I said showing he didn't listen at all.
Asked for a slow cut down of meds I got the opposite.
Mental health system so broken and feel get treated like a pain .

β β β β β this facility.thier programs and staff.set me on a path of hope for me and mine.. so thank you.finding solutions for what matters is mean az..dont go if u dont want to giv it space ..its now been 5 years.. my biggest mistake was doing it for others/whanau.when i should have helped myself , first.anyhoo i am now better than i WAS..our group at first was a real handful..yet i used all we shared as a group, and ran with it ,siowly so painfully,it started to make sense .for me i done group for 3 years . 2hours a week.in the end of my time at london st.i didnot want 2 go .yet sooner than later you have 2 practice what we learned and shared.is still as relevant NOW as then.commonsense,mindfullness,intent.and stubborn attitude. was what assisted me and mine..

β β β β β Honestly mental health is super important, I deal with quite a bit of anxiety. And I come here to help my journey to a balanced life, the waiting lists are quite long when waiting for someone, but in need there's lots of other places to call like youthline, crisis team and so much more. But a good place to come when life is a little to much

β β β β β My experience with my wife was good. It took a while to connect on the back end of a self-referral. The system in Australia is 1000% better, with more funding for mental health. The issue in NZ is drugs & alcohol addiction are taking 90% of the mental health funding. Those situations are avoidable, whereas mental health issues that are unavoidable seem to have almost zero funding.
Saying all of that, when my wife had a minor relapse we got access to a good (foreign born) Psychiatrist. Her social worker did establish a rapport, but his time was split across many people, and in the end their needs were more urgent.
Now I have to plan ahead to get access. It will take 2 to 3 weeks I've been told to get access to a Psychiatrist. So be it.

β β β β β On behalf of this rating is .
Depression and anxiety disorders are not treated with a high standard. I posting on behalf of a friend who used this service and felt worse every time.
This friend was given the wrong treatment plan with know thought given.
Lacking was support for her environment needs and her rural lifestyle.
Which caused her depression anxiety.
Because of her I've gone and gained qualifications in mental health level 3. Thanks to my tutor teaching I have some idea with this

β β β β β the only thing this place has done for my mental health is make it worse. i called here and asked for any kind of referral or appointment because i was a danger to myself and they just told me "no, sorry" and said to leave contact details on an answering machine and they would get back to me. i left my full name and repeated my mobile number TWICE on their automated machine asking them to please call me back because i was in a dangerous place and i never heard back. this was over 6 months ago and still not a word to this day - you can imagine what kinds of things this resulted in for me mentally and physically. my partner also visited this place for her adhd diagnosis and left sobbing, having been sent into a full breakdown because they constantly talked over her, belittled her experiences, and basically told her she was imagining things and just needed to toughen up and focus - she later visited an actual competent mental health service and was diagnosed with severe adhd and was medicated for it. she is now able to function so much better. the fact that they allowed someone to leave the establishment in the state that she was in is absolutely disgusting for a so called "mental health" organisation, and its even worse that they are the ones that CAUSED this breakdown. please, for your own safety -- seek help literally anywhere other than this place.
