★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have been to several hair clinics and spent lots on my hair in the past few years. I have never seen the high pressure selling tactics applied so forcefully in other clinics as I did at the Hamilton branch, the consultant in this instance works there and in Wellington so assumingly the same tactics are applied there. I am currently taking Minoxidil and Propecia and the products here offered are Minoxidil and a herbal substitute which is "apparently" proven to be better than Propecia although there is no clinival evidence this is the case.
The products offered by Advanced Hair Studio are a mix of herbal product, laser therapy, PRP and hair pieces. The strengthening treatment which is necessary before you are able to do any other treatments uses laser and herbal topical products, at $3000 (usually $4000) for six months this is an expensive option for the result you will get in the end. PRP may be a good option but again at $6700 (usually $7800) is an expensive option and around twice to three times the price of what many other beauty clinics now offer.
When the tactics were clearly not working (as I'm almost at the point where I will shave my head over sitting under a laser every week and spending my whole paycheck at the local hair loss clinic) the pressure really ramped up. I was then told with absolute certainty that all my hair would fall out really soon and there was little to no options for me, nothing about how life goes on without your hair and how this is a natural thing for most males. If you do try these clinics don't forget these people are salesmen/women, they have to pressure you to get their weekly paycheck. They will extend and fabricate the truth, in the Hamilton clinic they definitely do this. I wasn't going to post this review but have recently found a good old friend of mine received the same treatment, we are both good people but at the moment you walk away from this clinic you WILL feel ten times worse about your situation unless you spend a serious amount of unnecessary cash. Do your own research and don't feed into the hype produced from the sales people at Advanced Hair.
