★ ★ ★ ★ ★ UPDATE: I note that the owner's response claims that their records do not match my review, however, the rest of their response is in fact consistent with it ... just skips over some aspects. It is a concern if their CMS does not record my emails that waited far too long for replies from the salesman; the DVD drive not being supplied promptly; or my complaint about the rude support phone service. And remarkably, the owner is now able to 'diagnose' the likely problem with my docking station! Quite a change from the "support" conversations I had at the time... hence my decision not to bother taking it back to the company.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: Very disappointing service from start to finish. I chose them because I'd had great experiences working with them several years back. I needed a powerful 'work at home' set up and it had to be robust & reliable as I was very time-poor. They recommended a particular set up (computer, screen, docking, DVD drive) as being best value for my needs. Communication was patchy (slow or absent responses) but I persevered due to the good history with them. I shouldn't have. The end result is that I paid twice as much as I could have elsewhere; they never followed through on some components; and the docking station kept crashing the computer. That left me with a very overpriced computer with insufficient ports to enable use of the other devices I needed (so had to go and spend even more money). I had phoned for advice at one point and got a rude response. The only positive aspect of their service is that when I complained about the rude response, a manager did contact me back and offered to look at the docking station. In the end I decided not to spend any more of my limited time (or money) with the company. After getting excellent service from a different place in town recently, I wanted to share my Advantage experience so hopefully other small business owners don't repeat my mistake.
