★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small regional lounge that is not very cozy. It does contain some snack and they do offer wine, beer and soft drinks. The espresso was excellent in my opinion. But the lounge is rather small and has no windows and it was crowded when I stopped by. There was also constant boarding announcements. But having said that, it was better to wait in the lounge as the terminal itself was packed with people that were waiting for the domestic flights. So maybe it is time to expand this terminal a bit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went into the new regional lounge 4 days after it opened. Compared to the old regional lounge it is vast. The old lounge did get busy and it was often better to go through security and use the domestic lounge....that has changed. Views are stunning, better than the domestic lounge, and it is way larger. Staff were excellent, really clean and tidy. Food was great, and altogether a really enjoyable experience. This has moved the regional lounge to a whole new level

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In the current covid environment, Air NZ has not skimped on customer service in the lounge. Friendly, attentive staff and clean facilities. Food was fresh and delicious, and included keto and gluten-free options. No kids area in the regional lounge unfortunately, but big windows for plane viewing is a hit. Well worth a stop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hanging out in the lounge, very friendly staff and great coffee machine! The food was good as well. As a United Club member, I was so happy to have access to this oasis whilst waiting for my flight to Nelson. Thank you Air New Zealand! Well done.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tend to be busting at the seams. I have been to other lounges around the world that have restricted areas.. I do suggest that if it had a Gold Elite area this could ensure that their most valued customers actually feel valued. The amount of people that have access to the lounges is very high compared to not too many years ago. Staff generally are excellent. Cleanliness is of the highest standard. Food and beverage selection is pretty good.
