★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Two weeks prior to the delivery of our container, a lady from Allied called me and confirmed the date and time (11am on a Monday). In order to be at the new house at 11am we had to make many arrangements, specially having a young baby. At 11:40am on the move in day the same lady called me and told me that the delivery was on hold because the payment didnt go through. I double checked this and the payment was done weeks ago and a confirmatiom had been sent to their finance department. Unfortunately they hadn't communicated this within departments and therefore we had to wait because their mistake. There was also no commumication on the day in regards to what was going to happen and when our stuffs would be delivered. We had to chase the lady all the time and never received an honest apology. In the end the container arrived at 4.30pm and the guys were unloading as fast as they could and were all in a bad mood because they had to do overtime. In the end they were done around 6pm and we had a few items damaged or broken. We reported these damages to them and until now nobody has got in touch with us so now we have to fix the damage they did to our belongings. I would definetely not recommend using Allied for moving houses.

Aleki helped me pack and then did an amazing job of uplifting.
Then Zac from Auckland and the local Tauranga guys were totally awesome.
They all made me feel like it was effortless for them so they gave me a lot of confidence.
At the destination they were very professional and made sure all items were accounted for.
I would have no hesitation I. Recommend doing these particular guys - top job!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a quote for two containers to move our house from Auckland to Timaru. After two days of packing at Auckland we found 10 boxes left behind plus lots of pot plants and garden furniture which we had to pay to dispose of. Imagine our utter disappointment to discover when unpacking at Timaru the containers had been filled with 20 ( yes 20 ) big empty boxes used as packing instead of packing our belongings in the wasted space. The Timaru team were fantastic but the Auckland team was a complete disaster costing us in lost possessions and added costs

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It took them 3 attempts to pack and collect our belongings from Australia. We kept finding entire rooms still untouched despite their claims they were done. Even then we still found extra boxes not taken. We were only given inventory for the first container they took. Paid them a great deal of money and utter shambles. We are sill awaiting our delivery. It's been in NZ over 3 weeks (the time frame given for delivery) and we can not get any response from email or phone calls, despite leaving numerous messages over several days. Completely appalled by their unprofessionalism. I can't believe they are still allowed to operate a business like this. A warning to all, do not use this company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Allied gave us nothing but problems. They delivered a day later than agreed, which caused us problems. Their pickup took three days, which NZ Vanlines conducted in a single day, three years earlier. Their inventory was useless with much missed, and their packing was either over the top or awful. Our insurance claim will run in to the thousands. "Allied - the careful movers!" - yeah right!
The only reason they got two stars and not one star is the delivery crew at our destination were spot on, so that somewhat redeemed a pretty poor overall experience.
Oh, and don't expect them to answer phone calls or emails once they have your business. Not really customer focused.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Allied team was exceptional end-to-end for my Auckland to Wellington move. Their staff was friendly and helpful, and made the whole (otherwise stressful) experience easy for me. Communication was fabulous, service was first class and everything went exactly to plan, and exactly as they laid out. Highly recommend Allied to anyone shifting house, particularly for a long-haul move!
