Eco Rentals Auckland New Zealand We are licensed for renting the vehicles under the Land transport authority of New Zealand. Our registered business name is Eco rental base in Auckland, New Zealand. We aim to give quality service with the cheapest truck rental for our customers.
We mean Eco for Economical and friendly for the service we offer. In fact, we are also working on a new fleet that helps to reduce carbon in the air, most of the new trucks have the DPF system. DPF stands for Diesel Particulate Filter. In short, the DPF system is a filtration system designed to trap soot and prevent it from exiting the tailpipe and entering the atmosphere from your diesel-powered engine.
Our service also provides road assistance service in case of any breakdown and this service is available for any customer 24 hours 7 days a week on call.
We think about customer convenience, therefore, our call center operates from Monday to Friday 24 hours and in the weekend operate from 9:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. If you submit the booking form you can expect our reply within 24 hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You get what you pay for, which is to be expected (so expect no strops/sheets/ blankets/ties). They come across as strict on hours for pickup and drop-off, however they turned up ten minutes late, meaning not out of there until 10:30, then told me to get it back at 2pm for a 4hr rental? I pointed out the time (when they struggled to work out what time it was) so they said back by 2:30. Odometer was wrong. Lots of shuffling of paperwork and not much action or customer service. Very confusing to ask for a $300 deposit, when the sign says $250, and they end up only taking $50??? They state someone will be there at 2pm. I turn up at 1:55 and no one there so thought I might call and check if someone was coming in. They said sure will be there. Don't turn up until 2:15. No apology or anything. I point out that their time keeping is not the best and the lady there cracks into an argument with me??? What? Take the advice and leave it at that, but, no she proceeds to try to explain in broken English how I got it wrong! Disgusting response to an initially low-key bit of customer feedback. Sort it out people. Take constructive feedback and if you are prepared to argue with a customer, then be prepared for the response and the feedback. Avoid - and like someone else said, pay a bit extra for totally better service. Poor. I presume the earlier good reviews were when 'Mark' was there. He must have left.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very unprofessional - Reserved a truck on Wednesday. Got an email "please await bank details to pay and confirm". Never got that email despite several chases and a phone call. Cancelled by Friday after some further unsatisfying phone calls and texts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Based on the below reviews this rental company is very hit and miss. I confirmed a truck booking for Monday 20/05/19 at 9.30am by email, landline and mobile. I turned up at their Mt Wellington address which is a house with 2 trucks and lots of cars parked in the front yard. Not a very good look to start with. Knocked on the door for at least 5 minutes, no one came, rang their number and a woman says sorry I can't help you due to non payment of phone services. So ecorentals can't even pay their phone bill. Put all this stuff together and just don't even bother going to them, find another company. I wasted an hour to get there and back home to make other arrangements. Totally bloody useless non-existant service BUT.... very very eager to try and get your deposit and rental fee paid in advance into their nominated bank account "which I didnt do". Guys, if your having business issues it may be time to sell the trucks and get a job, stop messing people around :/

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service by Mark was excellent. He explains things in detail and warns me of how to use the car. The flap for the tail lift is very heavy and needs a muscular guy to let it down. The lift is button operated, gets stuck when it's at the lowest level but a good kick will make it level. Would have gotten sponges, cardboards and polystyrene to prop the side and base when moving house so that i wouldn't have scratched my table. I'd say, this is more for moving cargo and rough move rather than for moving house furnitures that requires gentle care. It requires effort to go into gear 2, all in all a good workout for my shoulder. Drive was smooth as gear wasn't sensitive, therefore throughout my 9 hours manual drive it didn't stall on the road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a happy customer. I hired a truck from Eco Rentals for 9 hours but ended up doing 9 and half hours. They did not charge me for the extra half an hour. Very polite and courteous customer service by the staff and the prices were cheaper than most of the other truck rental companies. Truck was clean and tidy and did the job. I will return back to these guys when I move my house again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This doesn’t give me an option of no star rating so I’m reluctantly forced to give a 1 star. Tuesday, I booked for a moving van for Sunday morning 10am. Received a generic email regarding getting bank acc details within 24hrs to which I would need to deposit payments. Never received any follow up email. Called the landline number, didn’t work. Went Business address and it’s a house...not a car yard as one would expect. Knocked on door, no answer. Received an email on Sunday an hour before we were to pick up the hire, advising that all their vehicles were booked out. Really unprofessional. I suggest that people use U-Rental located near the airport. You get 200km free if you rent a cargo van, and you can trust that they’e professional. They happily took our business even though it was last minute.
