20-30 minute walk to the local bar, supermarket and cafe.
Also a great starting point for hiking trips

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cabins in amongst the forest, what could be better. All amenities A+. Views great and Oban just down the road. Car was supplied for $20 per day, very reasonable. Really enjoyed stay. Local Kaka (type of NZ Parrot) joined us in the cabin a couple of times.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a beautiful location with the best bed I have ever slept in. The shower is amazing and the local Kaka who regularly came and visited us became our friend. The car we were driving broke down but the owner was fantastic and came to our aid immediately. Will definitely return later in the year. Highly recommend everyone stay here when visiting Stewart Island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great views and they can also provide a car for a fee. We just thought it was let down a little by things like cheap plastic shampoo dispensers with "shampoo" written in felt pen. A tad expensive once all is factored in.
