Practice History
Animal Health Centre was opened by Dr Simon Nelson in February 2000.
Our building was originally a Government Post Office which has been converted and modernized to meet the needs of a busy veterinary hospital.
We chose the location as being central and accessible, as well as having great parking for our clients.
From a staff of two at the outset Animal Health Centre has grown to a team of nine today, including three vets, four vet nurses and our administration team.

Such a lovely manner, and he helped us understand we were making the right decision to have our beautiful cat Pipi put down (he got a blood clot and couldn't walk). If you want the best for your pets then I highly recommended this business.

I had to let my husband tell them, but she just wouldn't eat & we tried our hardest to keep her with us. I miss her.❣❣but she is now with her Sister Brownie up in Cucumber Heaven. The Vet, Simon, is very kind and caring and has taken such good care of my cat and also enlightened me to things to look for in regards to my cats health.
The whole staff I have interacted with have been very lovely and helpful, both with Dersie and myself! I would high recommend!
