PETVET are Small Animal Veterinarians located in the Hutt Valley of New Zealand. Our mission is to provide our clients and their pets with excellent veterinary service and quality pet products while delivering superior veterinary skills, technology and advice within a friendly caring environment.
It takes 5 years intensive university study to qualify as a veterinarian then a life long continuing education programme to stay up-to-date. The PETVET team is a dedicated group of animal health professionals commited to providing top quality veterinary care for your pets.
The PETVET nurses and technicians are a highly skilled group of dedicated veterinary health professionals. Their education and training provides you and your pet with a high standard of care. They ensure your pet receives optimum husbandry, handling and restraint. They prepare your pet for surgery, ensure correct anaesthetic delivery and monitoring, manage fluid therapy and implement post operative pain and wound management plans. When required, they also provide assistance during complex surgical procedures. They obtain and process radiographs, collect and process samples for laboratory analysis, and scale and polish teeth. They are also actively involved in providing post operative physiotherapy and run client education programmes such as how to tube feed your sick pet or give regular insulin injections at home.
Our Customer Service Team take your calls, make appointments and attempt to answer your enquires. They all are very knowledgeable about pet diets, worms, fleas and the best accessories for your pet. They will be the first to greet when you arrive at PETVET and probably farewell you when you leave. They are all passionate animal lovers and love to see you and your pets.

β β β β β I wanna say the biggest thank you to team Pet Vet for their patience and kindness . We transfered to them at the beginning of the year with concerns for our cat Floki. It turned out Floki had skin cancer and even though there wasn't much that could have been done, they offered many care options and advice. In the end we had a little more than a month with Floki until we had to say goodbye and the process was done with care and gentleness.
We received a card from team Pet Vet with Floki's paw prints which I didn't expect at all but the gesture really touched me.
So thank you team Pet Vet for taking good care of our Floki even if it was for a short time.

β β β β β There vets are very friendly and some more knowledgable than others.
They struggle a little at front desk with getting back to you. I tried to start a payment system to be ahead but they never got back to me. But overall I feel my pets are getting looked after which is the main point as long as I'm charged typical comparable rates as others.
I have a cat and dog who need minor ops so I re to this after them
Cat had Op they had a busy day but the result is what counts, there price was more than fair.
Next the dog ? probably in February

A good range of products and services to purchase in store. The new premises are really modern and clean and tidy. Wouldn't use any other vet. 10 out of 10

β β β β β 160 dollars for a 15 min consult with cat.was also overcharged for worming tablets because reception werent sure of the price.was told this would be credited to my account to have them try charge us again when paying for 15min consult. Really overpriced and probably wont return. There are some incredible people that work here however, when my cat was hit by a car last year and we rushed her to the closest vet we could find the staff were fabulous and sincere and did their utmost best and even sent us a card later I will always be thankful for that
