The rooms are beautiful, the breakfasts delicious and beautifully presented, the views stunning and the service is outstanding.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful stay at Arcadia Lodge. Peter and Greg were incredible hosts who were very accommodating and put so much effort into the details. The lodge itself is beautifully decorated and exudes so much character and history. Greg gave us a tour of their property and told us a bit about the history of Russell. The morning breakfast was delicious and was served on the front deck overlooking the bay. This was definitely one of the highlights of our stay.
We booked the takurua room which had a beautiful view of the water. The room was very clean and even had small chocolates by the bed.
We very much enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Arcadia lodge to anyone looking for a unique experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful stay! The hosts are very accommodating. The home is historic and beautifully kept. Bed and breakfast does not quite do it justice… I would say more like clean, classy, comfortable accommodation and multi-course, gourmet first meal of the day!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're considering a trip to the Bay of Islands, I highly recommend staying at Arcadia Lodge in Russell. You'll get a truly authentic experience, staying in a building that's over a century old (lovingly preserved for a comfortable stay). Peter and Greg are fantastic hosts, filling your belly each morning with a three-course breakfast, and steering you towards hidden gems in the area through their local connections. It's just as easy to stay put and drink in the stunning view on the balcony. Give it a go!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I spent 3 nights at Arcadia Lodge this summer and had a fantastic stay! We booked the Tautoru suite, with private entry and a lovely small deck with views over the garden and to the bay. The room itself was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated with a very comfy, large bed.
Breakfast every morning was absolutely perfect, with home made cereals, cooked fresh fruits, hot dish and home made breads, all of which was top notch.
The lodge itself is a beautiful old home, tastefully and respectfully renovated with lovely touches through. Peter and Greg couldn't be better hosts, with excellent knowledge and ideas, with just the right amount of attention without being overbearing, and have created something very special in Arcadia Lodge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thank you Greg and Peter! We loved our stay, especially reading and playing games in the Great Room. Breakfast each morning was such a treasure, starting off our day on the deck with a view and nice fresh air. Arcadia Lodge is steeped in history, full of character and charm. We also enjoyed a few wines from the bar, highly recommend!
