The staff is amazing and attentive, the facilities are the epitome of simplicity done well. If you have a chance to visit here do NOT MISS OUT!

Great place to visit and the people are all very positive and I tuned with nature in a way that you never thought possible. Will rub off on to you and you will become more mindfull and appreciate even the air you breath each day. Guys definitely check this place out. ????

β β β β β Very excited about Aro Ha. Absolutely blown away by the stunning site, amazing architecture and pretty much everything about this permaculture inspired wellness retreat. The programme is amazing - complete respite from our too-fast lives - and from the perspective of New Zealand tourism, Aro Ha fits the bill of our tourism strategy - lightly treading on our environment, an entirely unique experience and all in a spectacular location.

β β β β β I have just completed a 5 day retreat at Aroha and have have been nurtured, nourished, and navigated towards wholeness in the most compassionate, therapeutic environment imaginable.
My small post lockdown group of strangers became a glowing, and connected community that shared their goals and vulnerabilities in such a courageous, warm and empathetic unit that we were able to grow and thrive together.
This time of monumental change is forcing us as a race to reassess our priorities and practices, and in itβs painful and challenging way providing an opportunity to create a whole new paradigm of existence.
Aroha has an indescribable magic that enabled us to truely and safely explore the deepest crevices of thought, the scary, clunky, embarrassing, roadblocks in our heads that sit just beyond our immediate accessibility.
The hikes into the exquisites native beach forest, the expansive view of lake Wakatipu with surrounding mountains, and the superbly designed immaculate campus provide the backdrop to self exploration and introspection.
Every meal is a work of art and you can taste the love that is is poured into every masterpiece.
The Aroha room is a place of movement for the body and mind. Itβs clean simplicity drew us into a state of supported safety we we laughed, cried, stretched, played and danced in both our minds and bodies.
Tha spa is sublime and every massage therapist seems to have an innate sense of tissue and what it needs to heal.
Above all this, it is the people though that create the magic of Aroha. Damian and Paula have brought together a unique community of enlightened, engaging and evolving humans who just seem to know what is needed and want is not, with impeccable timing and grace.
I cannot thank them enough, I have never been in such a therapeutic environment.
We left with our gates open.

β β β β β When I decided to visit Aro Ha I had heard from couple of people that it was pretty amazing, however I didn't really know what that looked like. It is hard to put into words and I don't want to give too much away but Aro Ha is one of the most unique and special places you will visit. The time, love and passion that has gone into the creation of Aro Ha is clear from the moment they collect you from the airport. The finest of details are considered and it is a truly exceptional experience on every level. I was immersed in some of the most breathtaking scenery I have ever seen. The team are wonderful, they are passionate and inspiring and I feel very blessed to have been there and met them. Siting here two weeks later I feel that it has added a huge amount of value to my life/mindset and I would love to visit once a year to reset and have as a part of my life. Thanks again Aro Ha : D

β β β β β A truly transformative and well-thought of retreat. Definitely the break I needed after a hectic 2020. Damien and his team are very welcoming and it was lovely to meet so many wonderful people at the retreat. There have definitely been some takeaways that will register with me indefinitely. Do go - it will have so much more of a positive effect than the typical holiday/break, as you learn so much about yourself. Also - it is located in the most MAGICAL setting with stunning views.

Damian and his team are first class in every way, and you will leave with first-hand knowledge of protocols you can easily adapt into your lifestyle #winning
We did the 8-day program and while Iβll try, words canβt fully describe the results. My eyes are clear, my skin is glowing, my mind and body feel balanced, and I feel ready to take on the world. Oh, and I also shed a few kilos effortlessly during the week. However, the bit thatβs hard to capture with words are the new lifelong friends that share a common interest - getting the most out of the one life we are graced with - thatβs the Aro Ha magic!
Like any review the real question lies with βwould you go back againβ. The answer ... a resounding YES.

β β β β β I've been home from Aro Ha for one week and still think about my experience there every day. From the moment you are collected you feel genuinely cared for. That's a rare treat in itself when we are so busy looking after everyone else's needs and putting ourselves last. At Aro Ha you enter a bubble of total care; total indulgence and total peacefulness. There are no decisions to make along the way and all the staff show amazing generosity of spirit in everything they do. The food is beyond delicious and, whilst it is Vegan and plant based, you don't miss anything. Every meal is presented like a work of art. What I especially loved about Aro Ha (unique in any destination) is the open door policy that exists. You can wander anywhere and the staff are always open for a chat. Special thanks to Sue the gardener who showed me around the gardens. I didn't lose much weight but if you are blessed enough to afford this very special experience, don't go to lose anything, go to find more of who you are.
