★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely stunning place. Family members stayed during their wedding- which was also held on The Longhouse front lawn overlooking the water. This place has small amount of rooms but is perfect for small groups to stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My colleague and I stayed at the Longhouse for 4 nights and thoroughly felt spoilt by the owners whom made us feel at home. The accommodation was superb with very comfortable rooms to relax in after a long day. Jennifer was the perfect hostess. We were well looked after with home baking for our last cuppa in the evening and a breakfast delight with muesli & yoghurt, bacon & organic eggs on toast. Just fabulous. If anyone wants just a nice break for the weekend, a stopover for the night or even like us, a place to chill out at, you couldn't find anything better. Would I recommend the Longhouse to all visitors to Karitane. Most assuredly YES!! We came from Tauranga for a work hui, and I want to come back and visit. Thanks for looking after us so well Jennifer. Ngareta

Beautiful breakfasts with locally sourced produce.
Dinner is available too ,which was outstanding
Jennifer is a fantastic cook.
Can't recommend highly enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was an amazing place to stay. Great rooms, great atmosphere. Hospitality was was beyond great. I don't normally have breakfast except for coffee but the breakfast we were given was the best I have ever had. Well catered with the owners very friendly, couldn't do enough for you. Great grounds, great views. Have already recommended a stay for those who are wishing to get away from the crowds and shops. Didn't have the evening meal but read the menu. Next time.

Liked · Everything about this property is superb, from the room amenities, the views and the hospitable owners-just fantastic. I felt spoiled and looked after the entire time. The lounge is wonderful with a cozy fireplace, the bedding was great and the location is spectacular. Breakfasts were incredible as was my dinner the last evening-all organic, local and home-made as much as possible. I was really impressed-Thank you so much Jennifer & Richard for making my stay truly memorable.
