★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrendously 'bad' green chicken curry!
Way too sweet, it was more like chicken sweet and sour.
I will never go there again.
So very disappointing!
8 months later I thought of giving them another go, they may have learnt and improved?
SHOCKING! They have no idea what is going on.
Ordered a Gai Pad King, with extra meat.
If this was with xtra meat I don’t want to know how little/nothing meat is in their ‘regular’ servings.
When I heard the Micro-Wave ‘ping’ my heart sank further. Staple diet with each Thai meal is rice.
Microwaved rice - no thanks. Soft mushi rice...yuk!
But getting back to the Pad King. I am lost for discriptive words. The black mushrooms were slimy as if used before, they added pumpkin or kumara to the vegetables, nono in thai food. No lime juice, no spice as in thai chilli, what are you guyes thinking. Rice had to be paid xtra? No Thai meal comes without rice.
Just so you know, I had paid for extra chicken and it total I received 85 grams of meat. Are you for real?
This place now permanently of my charts.
Disgusting!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a lovely little takeaway, in Kamo, for Thai, Chinese, or NZ foods. They have a very extensive menu. I have mostly tried the Thai food with the exception of their Chinese chicken toast (which is very similar to shrimp toast, and is very good!)
My partner loves their Larb Gai, he says it's the best he's had since we've moved here. He orders it "Thai hot" which is not for people who don't love really hot stuff! I order the red curry with chicken which is very good and not too sweet! We've noticed, since moving to New Zealand, that Kiwis love their food on the sweet side... We aren't used to that. So finding a Thai place that makes their food not too sweet, is "sweet as!" I can't speak about their NZ fare as we've never tried it. But they offer, burgers, chicken, fish etc for people who don't like Asian food.
The couple who own/run this takeaway are very nice and professional. The food is very good for takeaways and it's always been consistent.
I do recommend you try Aroi Thai takeaway, if you love Thai or Chinese food, you won't be disappointed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered chips, specifically garlic chips. They were delicious but they did not put enough garlic and the crab stick batter didn't taste great! There wasn't much garlic sauce in the chips either which was sad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pad thai was great! There is no justifying what these other jokers charge for their pad Thai. A full family sized container. Will definitely be a repeat customer. Affordable and yummy ? ขอขอบคุณ
