About Art + Body Creative Studio
Established in Mount Maunganui since 2011, Art + Body Creative Studio is the creative brain child of Julie Paama-Pengelly, a wahine Maori artist who has practiced in Aotearoa's visual arts and education for over 30 years.
With its own individual personality and air (and a literal bus), Art + Body is home to artists from a variety of creative backgrounds with a similar passion for people and artistry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were very lucky to have this place recommended to us. My husband wanted to replace his wedding ring (which was irritating his skin) with a tattoo of my name around his finger. After being told these sort of tattoos don't work, we found someone here willing to do it. Shannon is a very talented artist and so good at what she does, and she did a great job with his tattoo. She offered to take take a look at it a few weeks later to make sure it didn't need any touch-up (it didn't). Now, many months later, the tattoo still looks perfect. We highly recommend this place for both its staff and for creating a comfortable atmosphere.
