★ ★ ★ ★ ★ artedomus do indeed have some excellent products. For a new home build in the Queenstown area we purchased some items. The house was not ready for delivery of these items.Notwithstanding we had paid in full Artedomus was insistent on having them out of their warehouse.....and the only choice was to deliver to our house in Auckland. Fair enough. On inspection the packaging for many of the items was substandard and genuinely there were concerns about their safe arrival in queenstown given that packaging. The items had to be returned to Artedomus for shipping...and packaging. Their price for this was outrageous....and more than double that of reputable alternatives. This was a trivial amount in the scope of the whole build but left a sour taste......perhaps times in the build supply business have been too good?

The product options are endless and the staff were super helpful and had such a wonderful eye for detail. I highly recommended Artedomus for tiles, flooring and exquisite bathroom products.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible customer service - Edit: Thanks for response - so you're aware: I came in store to choose the size and style of pots I needed. Once confirmed, I emailed Kate and ordered 7 pots and I arranged/paid for delivery. Upon delivery, I immediately noticed an obvious thickness/weight difference in three of the pots. I called Kate to explain the situation, she had the correct pots in store. I arranged for the incorrect pots to be dropped back off and the correct pots to be delivered again - however this mistake was not honoured and I was left with the costly delivery fee again.
I fully understand that the pots are handmade and to expect slight variation - this was not the case. I explained this multiple times with pictures and measurements to plead my case. The correct pots all matched (albeit with slight variation), and the incorrect pots all matched (albeit with slight variation).
I am quite particular, I'll give you that, but that's not the issue. The issue is a mistake was made on your end but you couldn't care less as the sale had already gone through. Honour your mistake or get it right the first time instead of disregarding customers as overly particular/meticulous.
I typically don't write reviews but felt obliged to post this experience as it was, as previously mentioned, horrible.
FYI - the finished product is beautiful. The pots, all matching with their slight variations, look great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice showroom and some pretty stuff. Those are the only good things about this place.
However, they have extremely poor service. You're made to feel like the staff don't have any time for you and you're wasting their precious time. I have been waiting for a quote for 3 weeks now and have given up on it ever coming. So if you're only window shopping and want to get ideas, this place might work. However if you do want to actually buy stuff, stay far away. Luckily for Aucklanders, there are many other places who do want to sell you stuff and are willing to serve you properly and not make you feel like dirt. Never again. And I will be telling all my designer pals the same.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I came into the store on Saturday looking to source travertine pavers for around a pool. We took away a sample and confirmed availability/cost with the Ben who was helpful. The sample we selected was not thick enough for the job so I called on Monday morning and spoke with Mary who advised there were other/thicker options in stock and I should come back into the store. I traveled over from Waiheke and taxied to the store from the CBD where I was met by another gentleman who was beyond condescending and most unhelpful. The trip was a waste of time and the experience upsetting. I can understand and accept the store didn't have what I was looking for but I do not appreciate the unpleasant treatment and poor customer service on the second visit. Perhaps the gentleman was having a bad day... I will not go back to find out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Artedomus have so many amazing tiles and our bathroom/kitchen renovation was an absolute success. Best range in Auckland, a great and varied selection. The team were also very helpful and provided great technical advice with great in-store experience. Such a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Mary, Kate and Don were delightful to deal with and all 3 of them could help me at any moment when I rang to enquire about our renovation. All were on hand to make suggestions if required. Definitely recommend Artedomus if you want a great job done with great door to door delivery and experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm in Auckland and wanted some Rubio samples. I chose to drive to your store which is extremely inviting with far more items than I anticipated. It is beautifully presented too. I was shocked the Rubio samples on the Rubio website are $6 and you charge $15. I'm all for paying more for an instore experience and service. I'm also a person who takes notice of reviews which I realise are individual and subjective. I wouldn't usually visit a company with reviews of 2.7 out of 5 but I've decided on Rubio and Artedomus are the Auckland retailer. There is a consistent pattern in your reviews, bad staff attitude and / or unsatisfactory service. Each review is replied to which shows your company care, however, they are disparaging responses. The 4 R's of a trustful apology are Recognition, Responsibility, Remorse, and Reparation. I'm not publically going to name your staff or detail their attitudes but I will never purchase from you or recommend you. Very sad because there were many items I would love to own
