Anthony joined the Arvida Board in November 2014 and was appointed Chair on 2 July 2021.
He is a professional director and business consultant with close to 35 years’ experience in the property, investment and capital market arenas. Anthony has a specialist property valuation and investment background having worked with AMP Capital Investors for 20 years, NZ’s largest investment fund manager, eight of these as Head of Property.
Anthony has broad governance and directorship experience in both public and private companies with involvement in a wide range of property, infrastructure and investment entities. Anthony is currently chair of Property for Industry Limited. Past directorships include Ngai Tahu Property Limited, Summerset Holdings Limited, Precinct Properties Limited, Marlborough Lines Limited, and AMP Capital Investors (NZ) Limited.
Anthony is a Chartered Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Directors, a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers, a Fellow of the Property Institute of New Zealand, and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

โ โ โ โ โ Disappointed with the services provided to the elderly in this place. You constantly need to ask staff / management to do the very basics of care on your family member, which is especially sad if that family member cant do it for themselves. Shouldnt this be the minimal standard of care elderly residents should receive?This is a constant problem.
The company should also look at its chairs provided in resthomes. Most in this home are stained, and are material, not cleanable. Certainly not very inviting for residents or their families.

โ โ โ โ โ Incredibly disappointing. Our family member has had many bad falls (recently hospitalised after a bad fall) and untreated UTI infections. They are in their 90's, blind and not mobile however is usually very sharp mentally. Constantly have to ask staff to do basic cares (when you can find someone!), items going missing from the room including clothing and gifts. Instead of helping toilet them they insist on putting an adult diaper on so they don't have to come when called. Humiliating. The room is very rarely clean (we have taken a vacuum on visits) and recently THE FAMILY had to clean an ant infestation from the drawers. The lack of service and kindness is horrifying; and an insult considering how much you pay in fees. Family visit regularly and often see multiple call bells from other clients going unanswered for over an hour. If the family member was stable enough to move we would remove them ASAP. 100% would NOT recommend.
Update: my family member passed away as a result of injuries sustained from possibly 2 horrific falls that went untreated as noone notified the family or hospital at the time of the events. Inquest pending.

โ โ โ โ โ I was treated with respect and dignity by all the staff. Given that I am on a gluten free meals they were very delicious.The exercises and entertainment were very good.It is good to know that if I have to have care I would come here again and highly reccomend CASCADES.

โ โ โ โ โ Our Mother needed hospital care after breaking her leg. Cascades was amazing - they treated her with dignity and respect. She is celiac and a specialised diet was never a problem. Cascades is clean and tidy everything in its place and had a lovely homely feel. The staff were awesome and friendly and delivered a high level of care for her. Thank you Cascades!
