Who are we?
Asian Food Specialist, an Asian Food Supermarket that is situated in the Eastern Suburb of Kilbrinie. We offers a wide range of Asian foods and cooking essentials including condiments, rice, noodles, cooking utensils, snacks, drinks and import beers. Majority of our products are imported directly from Asia with a small portion of fresh products locally supplied.
Foodstuffs Supplier / Importer
We are an appointed Wellington regional distributor for Yum Yum Brand noodles and also an approved supplier to Foodstuff (Wellington) Cooperative Society Ltd stores in Wellington. The company runs a Food Safety Programme which has been approved by the New Zealand Food Safety Authority and being recognized as an approved Importer, Distributor and Retailer in New Zealand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So many products! Good service. Great location. Generally very affordable. Sometimes hard to identify what's what - allow a little extra time to find the English details on the labels. (Proves it's authentic, I guess.) Some useful Asian cooking hardware as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Generally a pretty great store! The guys working there couldn't be friendlier, the selections is really very decent and the layout of the store is chaotic as you wish/suspect it would be.
I personally find the tofu a little expensive, it is very close to major supermarket prices and the fresh produce runs out quickly but is very good. They also do not stock Japanese drip coffee which is a shame because it is superb.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Covinient and nice supermarket! The varieties of their products are comprehensive. So many snacks, spices and seasonings. Staff is kind and nice. Most importantly, the atmospheres is cozy and the shop environment is tidy and nice. We will be back again given chances.
