Thanks to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, I was proud to be Turkish once again. Atatürk, who attach importance to world peace, reason and who believes in science, is the leader in Turkey's modern and civilized life. Atatürk made reforms to raise the Turkish nation above the level of modern nations after saving the homeland from enemy invasion.

I lived in Wellington but have never known about this place. It is great to keep the memorial and history like this. The memorial is beautiful and I felt something deep in my heart.

As a Turkish person, I was so proud to see Ataturk Memorial and how he is respected on the other side of the world for us. I would like to say thanks to New Zealand for choosing this amazing spot for the Memorial.

Nice trekking course. Not that hard or exhausting course comparing to others. Nearby is a peaceful and scenic seaside. It will be better if you have your own car. Don't forget visit Moa Point as well.

Some nice walk up the hill. There is a dog walkway. It is nice. It noble to see war adversaries exchange memorials. Peace for all ;) I enjoyed it personally.

My happy place & Wellington's South coast at it's best. You wouldn't dream it's close to the city. Native flora & fauna, piwakawaka flitting about us as we stroll up the hill, looking down on Tarakena bay. Beautiful little bay with penguins nesting, & also a popular boat ramp ???

Amazing views! Close enough to walk to princess beach and the view is clear all the way especially to the west. Definitely would love to go again and again •♥•
