★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful powered sight right by the harbour. Extremely clean and well maintained grounds and amenities. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great to have a musical duo performing Saturday night, a great family atmosphere. Loved the coffee truck in the mornings. Definitely coming again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time staying at Athenree, and really liked it, nice large shady site was perfect for our caravan (it was busy so needed a motor mover) but that was explained on booking. Shown to our site which was a lovely touch and the facilities are all very clean and tidy...best I have seen in fact. Great location for estuary & beach access and great place to get to walks etc, will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed 3 nights ( again ) at this gem of a campsite on a powered tent plot. These plots are very comfortable, even if today's cars have grown somewhat! The service was impeccable as usual. This oasis, less than 10 min drive to Waihi Beach, was busy, but once again we felt quite at home here. The facilities are immaculate. Clean and lovingly cared for by the fabulous Athenree Team. No question was too hard to answer.
We have stayed on a few campsites all over, including Top 10's but Athenree is by far the best we have come across.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed 7 days at Athenee what a fantastic place to stay. Every thing was so clean and tidy. The staff are so cheerful and happy. The kid really enjoyed the 4 wheel bike's. The pools great even got a shop on site. We will be back to this fabulous camping grounds.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exceptional hosts, they provide an excellent service, are very friendly and very helpful. The Coffee cart and entertainment at the park was a surprise and very enjoyable. 11 out of 10 for cleanliness of all facilities, the cleaners does an amazing job. We had a great holiday and as our requirements unexpectedly changed a few times, the hosts accommodated us, even lend us swimming goggles and colouring pencils for the kids. We will definitely be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an awesome place, with a variety of options for travellers. It is clean, quiet, pet friendly (leashed and clean up your own mess of course) and helpful staff make it feel welcoming. And the weekend coffee cart!!! That was fabulous. The pools are relaxing and have two options as well. I heartily recommend it as a destination!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We enjoyed our 3 night camping holiday at this small cozy holiday park. We like that they required a Covid-19 vaccine pass. They were able to give us 2 sites next to each other at short notice which was appreciated. Friendly management. The services were very clean and we really enjoyed our twice daily swim in the thermal pools. We will return!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very nice campsite. It is clean and just next to the waterside. Can rent a kayak for explore the surrounding. The pool is nice. It would be even better if it is hot and sunny.
Was there on a rainy day, the owner is really nice to allocate a closer site for us. Very appreciated.
