We went as a group on the evening Kayak to Rangitoto.
It was a magic trip and really good value for money.
Kayaking back under starlight and city lights was quite special

β β β β β Tour to Brown's Island/ Motukorea. My husband and I took this trip as part of a tour of all the volcanic sites of Auckland. Eric and Mike were excellent instructors and guides. We felt very safe, and had a really informative tour of the island. Eric is very knowledgeable about the local history. The company was prompt and clear in their communication, including when we needed to make a change to the starting point due to bad weather. Highly recommended.

β β β β β The sunset kayak to Rangitoto was amazing! So well organised and such a great way to explore the island and watch the sunset. The hosts had everything sorted in terms of food and tea/coffee when we got to the island. They were informative about the island and made us feel relaxed! Really enjoyed the paddle back in the dark with the stars and Starlink satellite constellation up above! Highly recommend this trip!

β β β β β My wife Marcela & I kayaked to Browns Island on Sunday morning. We had a super time under the guidance of Eric. We had a headwind on the way out & made it to the island in about 1:20. Eric made us a nice coffee & we shared a brownie. Then we hiked up to the trig point on the caldera of the dormant volcano & then made our way around the island. It was fantastic, the views were amazing & the sun was shining. The trip home with a tailwind was done & dusted in just over 40 minutes. A great morning was had by all. Thanks Eric!!

β β β β β Our instructor was Eric, i took my friends on a trip as we needed it especially all the other kayaking operations was closed, and this was our last option and i couldn't be more happy about this trip. Eric was well presentable and making sure we are all in safe hands. My friends and i enjoyed Eric's company. A trip to Rangitoto, was speculator, all the memories i experienced when i was little was the main star of the trip. Also kayaking in the dark was an extra bonus. I hope Eric gets more recognition of his work, he is amazing. Get him a pay rise!!! he definitely deserve one!! we will be back with our big group. Dont forget us Eric we see you next time!! - from the South Auckland side best group :) haha!

β β β β β I did the DOE Gold Residential project which was split over 2 nights on the Steinalger 2 , and 2 nights kayaking around the Hauraki Gulf. But I absolutely loved my kayaking with Auckland Sea Kayaks. It was a real highlight of my trip. Tom and Gaio were exceptional guides. They knew lots of information, were lots of fun and were on hand to help out whenever we needed it. Tom is also a wonderful fisherman. One of our exercises was to capsize the kayak and safely make it back in. I was extremely nervous about this, but Tom and Gaio were so patient and understanding with me and helped out the best they could to make it as scare-free as possible. Without their help I doubt I would have had the confidence to do the capsize.
Awesome memories were made!!

As a non-swimmer light on outdoors and aquatic experience, I felt at ease in the open seas thanks to our exceptional guides. Nickβs easy going and unobtrusive style belied a high level of competence and attention required to lead our group of 9 on a fun, adventurous trip, anchored in the back by Mitch watching over us. Would highly recommend!
