★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently bought a house through Barfoot and Thompson in Whangarei. I don't live in Whangarei so it could have been a real nightmare to get things done. Both Shane and Minda have been a breeze to deal with and nothing is ever a problem. If and when I buy another house in Whangarei, I truly hope I can buy through them again. If I happen to sell my investment property, they will be the only agent I will deal with.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Looked into purchasing a property, after dealing with the agents, felt very belittled, and pushed away with almost no communication. Have since dealt with a few others from other companies who are very positive with regular communication. unless you are a seller and there is something in it for them. there is nothing in it for you. Would not recommend because of it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rude and hopeless, applied for multiple rental properties and were told many different reasons (excuses) as to why cant rent a house, credit check clean and all other checks clean, yet still no rental place, I am not a form but a human, how do rent a house to someone you've never met but you've only met them on paper.

They were understaffed and the man that was in charge of my account never returned calls and I went a month without a renter even though they had two previous months to get a renter. I ended up doing the interview as he did not have time but I had a mortgage payment and had to get the house rented. Much more to the story but it is long and painful. I will leave it with the word, NEVER

We did not expect to find the same level of service in Whangarei and for the first few months the service was as expected, underwhelming until Shannell Stanbridge took over. She is prompt, efficient, available when we need her and always delivers on her promises. Thank you Shannell for taking care of everything and being such a superstar!
