★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was completely unprepared for this. The hike up Queenstown Hill is not for the unfit. Was quite muddy and slippery when I went and I had hiking boots on. Took me a good hour of huffing and puffing to reach the basket of dreams. The walk back I though would be easier but you have to plant your legs to stop you running down the steep slopes you just walked up. I've done it once a day that's enough for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cool view of Queenstown and surrounding area at the top. I wouldn't come up here just to see the basket of dreams statue, but for the view and the fun and slightly challenging hike.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is really a place full of dreams. The view there is breathtaking and the hike is not that difficult I would say? It's like an hour or a bit more from city centre. But man look at these pictures, it's worth the way!
You get a full view over the lakes and the city. And the basket of dreams is full of meaning. If I were you I'll get there and have a look by myself!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The walk is pretty tough in the sense that it's very steep majority of the way but the entire walk up is quiet and peaceful with spectacular view points along the way. Once you get to the basket, there's a great sense of accomplishment and the view from there is amazing. I would also recommend doing the last 15 minutes to the top as the view from there is nothing short of beautiful. Really is breathtaking and you won't regret it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a walk ! Took me 1 hour and 30mins. I did walk from pinewood lodge so maybe an hour 10 to walk from the little park at the bottom. The scenery was beautiful and interesting loved the berry trees and landscape. Very different to what I'm used to in auckland. The view at the top was abit blocked from the trees. Giving a 4 star as the walk was a killer for me lol. ' I'm very unfit ' lol overall still enjoyed the walk ?
