★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovely weekend getaway for me and my 10 Yr old son. We both had a blast. Relaxing and reading, campfires, Eels biking round the campground and walking the park. A fun weekend without screens or phones. Hoorah!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you like camp fires and getting away from it all, this is the place for you. The kids love feeding the eels and the safe swimming hole, and we loved the hike to the top of the hill. Our fourth time camping there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice area, parking is fine for disabled and also motorcycles. The camping area is gravel but tight and fit for motorcycles. Great walks and little rivers to explore. The fit can do the battle Hill summit in around 45m instead of the signposted 1h30m. Cool area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love battle hill, great place to visit for safe areas to have open fires, over night camping spots, creeks to explore and lovely bush walks.
They've just installed a cell tower down the road ( previously no cell signal ).
To date i haven't managed to get through to the ranger for booking over night camp sites, either phone or email. At Christmas time this can be a pain but most other times we've been lucky to find a spot

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was pleasantly surprised at how little impact transmission gulley motorway had on this beautiful area. It is still peaceful with good amenities and a variety of walks to suit everybody. The history signs are sadly in need of repair (unreadable in parts) but the park itself is really lovely.
