β β β β β Amazing staff and amazing food. Really enjoyed our meal here. First class. Also, there had been an elderly gentleman and his wife who had been sitting outside having a meal. He came inside to pay and was a little unsteady on his feet (because he was elderly, not drunk). Anyway the wonderful girl behind the counter saw that he was struggling and came around and assisted him with another young man who worked there, to his car making sure they were ok. That was so lovely to see. A must if you are in Timaru.

β β β β β Great meal, huge lamb shank, pulled beef burger, and a kids fish n chips. All nice, little Miss 4 ate her whole meal, which is unusual! Beer was good. Service fast and friendly and the cash up at the end was accurate. Will stop here again.

β β β β β This morning we dined here for breakfast. I thought I was ordering a very basic fool proof meal that you couldnβt go wrong with but it appears I was wrong. I ordered the bacon and eggs which came with βtoastedβ bread. I also ordered a side of avocado. The waitress served me my food and when I looked at the plate it was covered in water which I assume was from the poached eggs being flung onto the plate out of water. The bacon was under cooked and sitting in water also from the eggs. There was a bit of bread on top of the bacon which was not toasted in the slightest. I donβt really know how you can genuinely serve someone that when they are paying $25 for it. I didnβt want to cause a scene and after saying excuse me to a waitress walking past twice and being ignored I felt well I must just try and eat it. To be honest if the bread had been toasted and warm I probably would have just sucked it up. No one asked us how the meal was so we just paid and left and had to go elsewhere to find something to eat. I understand itβs Easter and maybe they were understaffed but you honestly cannot expect to serve someone soggy undercooked food. It seemed like the staff were more worried about hanging out with each other then focusing on serving properly cooked food. I think the food served in jail would have been better then what I was presented with.

β β β β β Service was exceptional and accommodated for us even though it was very busy. Great atmosphere.
Ordered the scotch medium rare but received very rare and wasn't very good quality. Pretty disappointing but everything else that was ordered was great. I suppose it was because it was busy but nonetheless very nice place.
Service 5/5
Atmosphere 5/5
Food 3/5

β β β β β I had a crispy squid and that's was so good. I feel I need to go timaru again soon for my squid meal.
And I came to timaru again for crispy squid but menu has been changed. Squid was ok but can't beat crispy squid and squid is snack menu

β β β β β Had a great time with family at the BayHill Bar! It was an impromptu stop and it was a great choice. The sliders and chips were really yummy and the ice chocolate was amazing. Definitely worth a stop in Timaru for. 5 starsβ
