I have been on this journey for over a year, searching for zero waste, less chemicals, and safe, natural cleaning products for my whanau.
I have learned a lot along my journey, many cleaning products have fillers, strong, unnecessary chemicals, and the supermarket cleaning product aisle smells are now too strong because I'm not used to them! Many cleaning products are simply unnecessary and are the result of commercialism.
I'm happy to say my search has finally ended!
Firstly: Be Natural Liquid Castle Soap and Glass Dispenser. Lavender and Sweet Orange.
This hand washing soap is simply wonderful! It smells divine, it cleans your hands effectively and leaves your hands smelling fresh. The glass soap dispenser is amazing. Initially I thought it was expensive, however the high quality dispenser is worth it. You only need to use a small amount of soap and the liquid has lasted a long time so far.
Secondly: Be Natural Cleaning Soap. Peppermint and Eucalyptus.
Wow! The beautiful smells of peppermint and eucalyptus hit you first when adding 2 tablespoons to hot water for hand washing dishes. I had a few dirty trays sitting on my bench for a few days as I had run out of dish washing liquid, this cleaning soap cut through the residue easily! It has not fillers so it does not form soapy bubbles, this is something I have been aware of for a long time, but it still takes a little getting used too. Again, commercialism has created the mindset that in order for things to be clean, we must have lather and bubbles! It's just another unnecessary chemical that does that. The lovely, natural ingredients in this cleaner really appeal to my zero waste approach, less chemicals down the drain, and recycled bottles. Return the bottles for a refill! Plus its local, Sarah and Susan create their beautiful products here in Inglewood.
I can't wait to use the cleaner in other ways:

Window cleaner
Carpet spot cleaner
Mopping floors
Bathroom cleaner
