★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Large, sealed carpark with clearly marked parking bays as well as unmarked areas at the edges suitable for parking of larger vehicles (eg horse trailers, RVs). Two access ramps allowing public access by vehicle on to the beach. The main ramp is to the left as tou enter the carpark, the other is to the right, past the Surf Club building and better reach by following the road (Marine Parade) that runs behind and around the car park directly to the beach access ramp.
BEWARE! Vehicles without 4WD or AWD are likely to get stuck in the sand either at the ramps or somewhere along the beach - drive on the beach at your own risk as vehicles have been “drowned”, if not rescued in time, many times in past years. I strongly recommend that you DO NOT, NEVER, EVER take a camper van on to the beach.
The beach is legally a road with a 10-30km per hour speed limit but due to the absence of marked lanes (!) do not assume you have the right of way just because you are driving a vehicle.
The beach is also an off leash dog walking area apart from the area immediately in front of the car park which is a No Dogs Allowed Zone.

Great for exercising dogs.
