★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I live in Mapua and wanted to treat ourselves to a couple of nights not too too far away. Just over an hours drive we were greeted with the most amazing hospitality from Shelly and Steve who know the Golden Bay Area well. Their warmth and welcoming enthusiasm are top notch. The views from our studio are simply breath-taking, it was clean, has lovely decor and is obviously well cared for. We could have easily stayed for several days if it wasn’t for other commitments. Wild, native Weka hens appear from the shadows of the surrounding native bush yet they remained distant enough to provide us with privacy and respect. We’ll definitely stay again, hopefully next time for at least a week or more!

Super comfy studio with queen bed & plenty of living space, private bathroom and well equip kitchen with a full size fridge/freezer and oven. Beautiful views out to Golden Bay and beyond to the Farewell Spit. Good internet. Shelley was so welcoming, also knowledgeable about the area. A big thanks.
