★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Steve who manages this reserve is a great guy, very friendly and generous. Above all he had the foresight and drive to transform what was once a town tip into a slice of paradise. He also has a great knowledge of the eco system that has developed here. The reserve is beautiful and a great place for a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be sure to ring first and make an appointment. The curator is an amazing guy who has made this a labor of love.
It’s well worth the visit. If you’re fortunate enough to have him give you a guided tour, you can learn the history of the local area, discover the amazing transformation he and his family have made of the wetlands, see wildlife and learn about native flora and fauna.
Bookings are essential, and totally worth your time and effort.
So glad we got the chance to visit.
