★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First up it's setting is beautiful, overlooking the bay at Kaikoura, be sure to to check out the sunrise against the ranges in the morning. Comfortable rooms, nice and clean, a bathroom that was well ventilated ( minimal mirror fogging ?). And a home cooked breakfast on top. Excellent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely room. But the view out the full glass back wall of the spacious green back yard with chairs for relaxing and the view of the South Pacific is glorious. The House is only a few minutes walk from the delightful downtown area, which may appear small and quaint but offers an excellent variety of shops and restaurants.
The Bendamere House is a home that has added a component of modern and well appointed guest rooms and a delightful dining area. Our host was very helpful in getting us oriented to our location, suggesting dining options and even knew where I could get my SIM card topped up! And she provided us with delicious homemade shortbread cookies!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The room was clean and in good condition, and came with some welcome-cookies! The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The proprietor, Julie, was amazing and she gave us some good tips around town. She even offered to pick us up from the Intercity Bus stop when we arrived in town, and she picked us up from the Whale Watch and brought our bags so we wouldn't miss our bus out of town. Above and beyond really. And the views... one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world from the lawn.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved our stay ! The accommodation was beautiful the views of the ocean and mountains spectacular, the bed comfortable and the hosts are charming. They provide a wonderful breakfast and the shortbread was a delicious treat. Would highly recommend a stay here while visiting Kaikoura, you won't be disappointed. Jan & Forrest

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved the host, Julie. She is a wonderful lady and what a view from rooms. Ahh, we can't get over those overlooking mountains and ocean view from room every morning. You also get a chance for a wee chit chat with fellow travellers and Julie herself, over the breakfast every morning (which is included). Among all the amenities and other things provided in the room, we especially loved mouth melting short breads. Cleanliness of the room was top notch and Our first preference of accomodation in kaikoura would be Bandamere house always.
