It is with great disappointment that I am having to write this review and I hope this review serves as a warning for people wanting to get a facial from Beyond Beaute. A few years ago I used to get the glycolic peel facial from Clare and all used to be well. I recently decided to get the same facial from her however this time my face was left with burns and scabs all over, after which till date, my skin is still peeling and trying to heal. I have all the photos from day one till date and out of respect for our past professional relationship have chosen not to make it public. I had showed my photos and skin to a specialised derm and GP, they confirmed it was a chemical burn. The way Clare had acted throughout this process was awful. At first she did not even offer a refund and only was acting defensive. She gave me a used tube (demo only tube which she probably got for free from her rep) to give to me to use which made the scabs and burns worse. She later gave me a refund by saying that was her gesture of goodwill - which was not true as it's my right as a customer to take my refund back after the mental and physical trauma caused to me by her facial. Clare kept on saying that this was all normal and that some of her other clients have had a similar reaction - which is disgusting that she continues to operate the way that she does if others, including herself as she claimed, have had the same or similar reaction in the past! Clare said in person that she would pay for my costs towards my treatment if it fails to get better, and upon me asking her to pay towards my treatment, she instead engaged with her lawyer, accused me of blackmailing her and gave me a less than 24 hour deadline to accept a 'final settlement' of $200 to prevent me from writing an honest review about her. She never once genuinely apologised and did not once acknowledge her mistake. I have saved till date all her txts and correspondence with me and never did I ever notice her truly being sorry and wanting to make me feel better one way or another - only that 'this is normal' and that she has been doing this for a long time so she knows what she is doing. If she did, then this may not have happened. She admitted that she did not ask me if over the last few years I had changed my skincare or whether I was on any medication or topical ointments. This is disgusting and not at all professional as she should have known better to ask. Please PLEASE be aware if you will get such a facial from her. I promise you that she won't treat you like a human if something goes wrong. She is the last person on this planet that I would return back to. Because of her, I had to miss several days from work as I could not wear makeup, was in pain and had endless visits to the doctor. I declined her $200 offer and instead chose to write this honest review. If only someone else had been open about their negative experience or if she had once told me that others have had such a reaction then I would not have asked for this facial. I honestly don't know how you are able to operate doing what you do without worry after knowing that you caused mental harm to me and potentially others. Please be more mindful about the products you use and how you use them as I have checked with specialists and it appears that you don't do your due diligence to check with your clients each time they visit around - how their skin has changed, are they on any medication, do they have sensitive skin, and also, you don't tell people the percentage of acid used on them which legally you are meant to do. Till date in fact you have not told me what you used on me despite me asking you to. You have been very unempathetic and only defensive. I have no idea how you continue to operate. You seemed nice before anything went wrong but the minute you knew you could be in trouble, you became defensive and oblivious to everything. Good luck to you, Clare but you have lost a client.

BEWARE BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS SALON- my daughter has got her facial done from Clare and it was the biggest mistake of our life. Her face was ruined by her facial treatment as it left burn marks as a result of aggressive treatment. She showed no empathy or apology for the bad service and the impact of treatment on her face. My daughter was left with the after affect trauma and her confidence was demoralised as a result of outcome of this facial. It took over 1 month for the face to look back to getting normal after other treatments from doctors. Very poor service from Clare when the issue was raised with her and several photos sent to her. She took no responsibility apart from saying that lots of her customers have faced this problem and this is normal process. I fail to understand how come burns after facial is normal. Some of her Facebook review is strangely from her lawyer whose details she sent to me after we decided to take the matter further so obviously those are from known people.

Just had a great experience at this salon. I needed a bit of a top up of everything - waxing, tinting and a much needed relaxing facial and Clare looked after me for everything. It was such a calm and relaxing experience and Clare (the beauty therapist) is so lovely and warm and funny! Highly reccomend and looking forward to my next appt. xx

I have been going to Clare for a number of years now and she always does an amazing job on my eyebrows. I love the products she uses and her kind and friendly nature. Clare is very professional and offers a vast range of services that she does so well!
