★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like shopping here. You can take your own containers. Staff very helpful. Besides getting goods for cooking they have lollies from overseas. I especially like the Dutch licorice and get the salty version for my friend. The have ginger lollies for people who are unwell or just love ginger. Love to browse the shelves.

UPDATE: Visited for the first time in a number of months. Variety and prices still good but literally every item I went in for (4 in total) were out of stock.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great for people who want to fight waste and not pay a fortune on it. So no excuses any more for people who say sustainable shopping is only to the rich ones. Only thing bothering me is that many items are often out of stock OR just not filled up in the store while they have more in the back (so you always need to ask), and that was already the case before COVID. Could do better work checking for empty items and re-filling and maybe on ordering (hard to tell, I guess they do not always get promptly what they re-order). Some more organic and fair-trade options would be nice. I always tell myself non-organic, unpackaged items are about equally sustainable as plastic-packaged organic items from the supermarket, but ideally I want to have it all: fair-trade, organic, unpackaged.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maybe I was there at the wrong time of the month and they were about to do a stock replenish? Who knows but the shelves was mostly empty. Might try again when it is not at the start of the month and they've had time to replenish their shelves.. I hope?
