We tried the classic burger and the vegan burger and a side of onion rings. Great sized burgers, cooked well and good amount of gherkin in the classic burger!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sorry for the complaint, yesterday I purchased the Bacon burger $18.
I asked for no mayo as I have an allergy, when I received my burger it had the mayo mix sauce on it, no big deal, I took it back and the young lady behind the counter was fantastic and apologized profusely. she offered free chips or a drink, I let her know the burger would suffice. I received my burger and when I checked there was no bacon on it. the burger was nice but at $18 for a burger I would be trying to get it right the first time.
sorry guys but I would not recommend purely on attention to detail.

The guy there, Pablo was very nice and tolerated the billion questions from my son and had great customer service! Definitely going back another time maybe even try a double patty or something. Definitely rate it! ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The burger hear was greasy and full of flavour. In other words it was freakin delicious!
When I say greasy, I had a good size burger with bacon (goos, yummy, streaky bacon), so if it wasn't greasy, I would have been very disappointed.
Fantastic service and the guy cooking was great to chat to (when he actually had a minute). My first time there but will definitely NOT be my last.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Noticed the spot for the first time! The smashed patties, hard to find in NZ lured me in and the framed picture of George Motz sealed the deal; I had to try it.
Ordered a double cheese burger, to keep it simple. Milk buns not my preference but good, nicely buttered. Patties, smashed thin, caramelized perfectly. Sauce and gherkins on point. Only downside, the patties were a bit too heavy on the salt, making it the dominant flavour.
Would definitely and gladly repeat! One of the best burgers I've had in NZ, and one of the only spots making proper smashed burgers. Kudos!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had the Classic burger and fries. The burger was a wonderful smashed burger. The bun tasted fantastically toasted. The fixings were fresh and tasty without overpowering the taste of the patty itself. The patty was a bit on the small side, so next time I’ll probably order a double.
The fries had the right amount of crisp, but just a bit too much salt. Also, I didn’t love the taste of the oil used for the fries, but with sauce I probably wouldn’t notice.
I’ll definitely be back to make my way through the menu. Gotta catch ‘em all!
