This place isn't a hostel it's more of a campground with some hostel facilities and hostel beds. You need to bring all your own cutlery and pans etc. They have a nice library and a great little pool. We stayed for a week and it was nice however if you are coming here to find work it is very hard at the moment (Feb 2017) The help to find work is just giving you a list of numbers to try. A few didn't work and most didn't pick up. This is an alright place for what it is and good value for money if you stay a week. However if you are coming here under the impression that they will help you find work then this is not the case. Facilities are ok but need updating. Could be a great place.

This was the worst hostel I've ever stayed at, and I've stayed at a lot. I booked a dorm bed and when I got here my options were between a top bunk with no ladder and a single bed in the living room/kitchen. There were flies everywhere - I have no idea why or how there were so many flies in this place. No one else in my dorm was at all bothered by the fact that they were all over the place, so I had to go to reception and complain about it. They just gave me another fly strip to hang from the ceiling. It barely did anything. Other guests here were absolutely psychotic - the roommates I got stuck with would get drunk and extremely loud right outside the door to our dorm ever. single. night. even when we all had to work the next day. There's nowhere to lock your valuables and you will want with the type of people who stay here long term. One of my roommates actually shouted ("jokingly") at someone that he was going to rape them. Staff either doesn't care or has been told to tolerate behavior like this. The 2nd dorm room I stayed in here seemed way nicer at first, but there was some kind of white powder under each bed. Wish I had realize why it was there sooner.. The receptionist who checked me in was extremely nice and as helpful as she possibly could've been in a place like this (she let me change rooms after I complained about the crazies in my 1st dorm), but that doesn't change the fact that this hostel should honestly just be shut down all together.

It' s a place for backpackers who are workig in the region so a lot of longterm guests. Also a little bit of party every night (especially on the weekends) and a lot of smoking. But atmosphere is good in general. Free hot showers (but just three of them so you might have to wait a little), free WiFi (doesn't work all the time).

Tons of people in a big space (which is still not big enough, there's too many people). 2 Kitchens which are full in the evening. Toilets/showers are sometimes full, especially after everyone comes back from work. Does get cleaned sometimes, but is usually dirty and there are tons of flies in the kitchen (really annoying). Literally right next to the railway. A few trains every day/night which practically drive through the camp and wake everyone (who isn't wearing earplugs or sleeps so close to the track that their car shakes) up. Starts at $80/week for tent/vansites if you share your spot with more than 2 people. Nice owners. Some connections to find you work and post is stored in the front office.

Rather run-down and uninviting camp ground. It seems to have a lot of backpackers who worked nearby, which didn't make it feel very welcoming to people who are just passing through. The facilities weren't great - I decided to eat at KFC instead of trying to cook in the kitchen, partly because the kitchens had notices saying they could only be used by certain campers. Fine for a night if everywhere else is full.

Been staying here for months, location itself near town center ( but the town not huge anyway) and near to several major vineyard. A lot of backpackers staying here for short or long term, travel or working in vineyard. Some are friendly, some are kind , some smoke weed/cigarette that make your room smelly too. Toilet are clean everyday, kitchen clean several times a week , hygiene is guaranteed, but not the communal area, where sometime smokers are camp there. No offend , smokers dont annoy me but the smokes are. Wi-Fi techinically useless, unless you go to the communal area to get the strong signal, even strong signal it still slow, so basically free Wi-Fi provided mean they provide you nothing on internet service. Laundry provided ( with small charges applied ) , yep , you need to insert coins to wash and dry your clothes. I wanted to give better rate, but the price for two person with 280 dollars with the quality of amenities given definitely not worth, not until they upgrade Wi-Fi. 1 star given for cosy room ( with own fridge, water boiler ) , some are complaining their room dirty, but mine perfectly fine. 1 star given for the hygiene of both toilet and kitchen ( so far I did not have any bad experience ) 1 star given for the location itself 1 star lost for the bad or nearly useless Wi-Fi 1 star lost for the smoker's smokes ( sorry this is personal ), because they are everywhere.

I don't know how the hostel looked a few months ago, but me and a friend of mine were here for the weekend and it's the best working hostel as far as we can evaluate that. The rooms are very clean, everyone got it's own toaster and fridge in the room and there is enough space for all your belongings. The showers are good, the people are friendly and in the summer you can go for a swim in a clear pool. We came here at the end of the summer season, so there's not much work in the vineyards or anywhere else, but if you come in the winter season, there's far enough work I think. The only thing which is a bit negative is that the WiFi doesn't work at all times, but they will fix it in the near future they said. Just go for it, it's gonna be a cool experience.

Rooms quite gross (flies everywhere, bins overflowing). Staff were not very friendly. Had to bring own crockery/utensils because they are not provided. Communal areas didn't feel very clean. They did have two bikes which were free to hire if they were available, which was a nice bonus.
