★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed here 1 night with my family. It's a good place to stay. Facilities are clean and tidy. Wifi signal is strong. Staffs are friendly too.

It’s a nice place but went with some friends and family in the end of last year and we were listen to music and chatting in the AFTERNOON with kids and babies between us and the manager coming yelling at us, totally disrespectful saying that was a family camping and we couldn’t do that noise. I think he could approach differently but he didn’t. Also at night some people in the camping used fireworks in the New Years and it hit a kid 3 years old in the head. He is son of a friend of mine, besides that it hit a camp tent of another friend, made a big hole on it. We report it but the manager guy did nothing. I’d say that different treatment with us it’s because we’re from another country. Be aware if you not from here. Don’t recommend this camping at all. Plus the water is cold :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an awesome holiday park. Cindy and the team were awesome from start to finish. You couldn't ask for a better location for a base when exploring the Bay of Islands. Huge bathroom and kitchen facilities, the choice of either the pool on site or the adjacent river to swim in and a wide range of accommodation options, this place had everything. We will definitely be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little spot to camp but the ladies showers had no hot water and after notifying reception about the issue nothing has improved and by two girls had to shower in cold water for the three nights we were camping.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since new owners have taken over it has gone down hill as there is no outside cover where the bbq are there is no pool sticks. In the room we stayed in there was mice crawling over us at night. I got back late because I had to take my sister to hospital and they complained about us coming in late and being loud from the car coming in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice camping grounds. So awesome to be able to bring your fur baby dog along with you while you stay (ONLY IN CABINS THAT AINT SELF CONTAINED). Cabins that ain't self contained consist of x4 single beds, a double bed, table/chairs, fan & fan heater - MAKE SURE TO BRING BLANKETS as ONLY pillows & bed sheets are all that is supplied in the non self contained cabins. Unfortunately the free wifi for my wife & myself hasn't loved our phones during our stay. The grounds have a beautiful shared lounge area which is adjoined to the dining area, pool table room as well as kitchen. Abolution block is in between the kitchen area & reception, along with the laundry block in which you can purchase coins for from reception. The outdoor area consists of a bbq area as well as pizza oven - bbqs operate by $1 per 15minutes but pizza oven is wood operated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very unpleasant experience at this holiday park, do not recommend it. My family and friends went to spend New Years there. Even though fireworks are forbidden in camping sites, a bunch of campers set some off by my tent. Long history short, one of the fireworks exploded by my tent and left several small holes on it and a huge one (which a rugby ball can pass through it). NOBODY, including the holiday park held responsibility over it and I came home with a damaged tent, which I used twice only. Not to mention I haven’t had a warm shower in the 5 days I spent there. I tried different times and shower cubicles and nothing, just cold water. Anyways, that was my first and last experience at that place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked late over the Easter weekend period and was pleased to be able to get a spot with late notice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had no problems with hot water etc everything was fine. Recommended this site to my nephew who stayed on his way back from the far North with his family and they had a great time as well.
