I	Idrean Conning on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was very disappointed, the grounds shabby and unkempt. Room was clean and tidy. No internet, towels very thin, water barely warm enough to have a hot shower.

R	Ruth Gay on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a disappointment! I know that these are rough times with the covid, but it doesn't cost anything but time to clean properly. I took photos. We found two squashed beer tins behind the sofa in the lounge. There was a dark ring in the bathroom basin. The kitchen lacked basic tools ie. tongs peeler, lids for pots etc. Why have a microwave if there are no dishes to use in it? There were broken appliances. The worst was a safety issue. Wires hanging down from the tv. It wouldn't take a toddler long to grab onto those! I don't know what the other units are like, but we were very disappointed and glad to leave the next day. I felt so upset I started looking for problems. I have never done a review like this before.
G	Greg Crayford on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place was ok. I booked online on a road trip, after a search for accom in Kaikoura on the way north, once I realised how far I'd get that day. The site I used (Agoda - it was a couple of bucks cheaper than others) caused problems. I booked and paid straight away some hours earlier so expected to arrive to a nice room, with a warm reception by the host. Sadly, the host had no idea who I was and after twenty minutes of mucking around said the site (Agoda) was the problem. He was nice enough about it but took no real responsibility for the issue, telling me I needed to contact Agoda myself. It was the last thing I needed after a long and tiring day in the saddle. If Agoda is a problem he shouldn't be using their services. Luckily he had one unit left. Too bad if nothing was there. I would have kissed my hard-earned $$ goodbye. The room itself was ok. Decent enough facilities and lots of space, with a beautiful outlook. But it was smelly. Damp and musty. Not the end of the world but worth a mention.
C	CnC McM on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Freaking dirty!! NO hot water. Only 1 light worked. Rusted stove with handle stuck on with tape. Fridges stink and are not plugged in. Can't use laundry because washing machine doesn't work. Public hair on towels, found a cockroach. @#$%!!!! Worst place I have ever seen. Paid for a night and left, booked in elsewhere

The first view of the place is an absolute mess of a garden. Weeds,grass unmown and just general untidies. It was also apparent that some goon had been smoking in the rooms. Would never ever return and never recommend.
