★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very small, felt like a bunker. Very dated, had a peculiar smell and was nothing like the pictures online. Tried to contact the Manager to get an upgrade. She said there was nothing available and that we wouldn't get a refund. Found another motel in South Kaikoura for a very similar price which is way better! But we are still out of pocket obviously ☹️

Another towel rail in bathroom would be good as not really enough room to hang four towels on existing towel rail.
Also some hooks by the door to hang coats on would be great too.
Heater in the room was good and didnt take long for room to warm up.
