★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cara and Storm are great hosts! I met Storm often in the lounge, had a good chat and laugh! Room and bathroom are clean and tidy, kitchen is well equipped, I even found a giant pot to cook my fresh caught Crayfish! Location is a bit out of town, but near the wild peninsula! I didn’t have a car but still felt alright with walking and biking. The view from the kitchen and the lounge is just superb! Would definitely like to come back and stay there again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute, quaint, very friendly staff member welcomed us on arrival, bunk/single bed pretty comfortable, had to grab a fluffier pillow from an empty bed. Great water and mountain view from lounge area. Downside- Hot water in the kitchen did not work and coffee was cheap. Overall, would recommend and would stay again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommend!! Simple yet clean lodge complete with all the facilities we need - complete shower and toilet, kitchen and heating system. The lodge owner is a friendly and welcoming man who happily provided us with recommendations around Kaikoura. I left my iPad at the lodge, and Storm was so kind to post it back to me, so I am grateful! Big Thank You to Storm!
The lodge has a beautiful view facing the snow-capped mountain and peaceful sea. Affordable and relaxing!

It is my second stay there and I will definitely be back next month ! Storm spoiled me with some fresh strawberries in the morning, good talks and good tips to spot some dolphins ! See you very soon and again thank you for my new little Humpback on my dashboard :D she enjoy the view !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very welcoming hosts, Storm and his sister Missy made me feel part of the family and were very knowledgeable and helpful. I enjoyed it so much I decided to stay another night to make the most of the hospitality and amazing views. Very clean and tidy . Would highly recommend to anyone , great value and will definitely be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great place to stay. Don’t be put off by its humble description. We stayed in one of the smallest twin rooms, but it was light and airy, with a view of the sea. The whole place is spotlessly clean, and you can’t go past the view from the dining area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed here for two nights and it is one of the best place to stay in Kaikoura!
The accommodation is very clean. Book for a standard room with a sea view! You won't regret it!
You can see the sea from the common room and kitchen as well.
The staff, Storm, is so friendly and accommodating.
You'll gonna love to stay here as it is super close to the city center.
Ask Storm for tips on how to swim with the seals for free!
PS: they have a super friendly cat! He loves belly rub
